this build is so fun man, i'm so happy i found it! Swapped from SRS infernalist to this, like a full one eighty, i had zero gear, i spent like 15-20ex in total on all the gear, I can't get over 120 flame stacks yet but i only just reached endgame so i think its fine :) it still does huge damage and basically oneshots everything except bosses

I got to 50 for hexblast using contagion and essence drain. Doesn't come online till you have a bit of regen, first ascend., hexblast, blasphemy.

Pro tip. The unarmed attack nodes right by the Quarter staff nodes also apply to your demon form. You can get 28% attack damage, 35% AoE, 25% damage resist and attack speed. It’s a total of 5 nodes.

@@jarrodmaslin7417 try to manual turn up it via your skill page, similar to weapon sets. Demon form have a lot of bugs with auras, like sometimes supporting gems for auras doesn't actually activate in form

this is a know issue on console. its a bug that cannot be fixed atm. If you play on PC with a controller, you can fix it by going backt to m&k, going in demon form and manually summon the hellhound, then you can go back to using the controller and it will work just fine.

Otherwise its getting Ghostwrithe and Rings - cheap, but super frustrating to get fuckers to actually trade - and jewels with regen. Can get those for like 5 -10 ex but again, trading zzz

Not sure the chaos damage you get from the passive tree is really even helping that much. By the time you've reached 100 stacks, what you get from the passive tree is left completely in the dust since it's all additive bonuses (except the ones applying wither or reducing chaos resist on cursing, of course). Better to invest some of those nodes into more jewels for instance.

If you're on controller it's bugged and you cannot set various spirit cost skills to demon form. You either need to log in on kb&m to switch it, or you're just out of luck atm. If you're not on controller you just need to set the skill as active on demon form. Same way you turn auras on elsewhere, just the third slot.

Ive had a few scares with this build leveling. There are rare mobs that reduced regen significatly. If they are fast and can stay close there is a hige problem. If you are at enough stacks that the degen wins by a large margin you can go to 0 almost instantly. Im playing HC and now have to check rares from screen away to stay safe with this build. Super frustrating.

Demon Form cancels once it hits 1 life, thus, it can never use CI.

You seems to be immune to chaos, and still get your max life tha same value as before without CI. The issue is that once you port to somewhere else, you get out of the form and you done... :)

​@@FormasticThe build isn't useless... The helm gives you about 3 times more Regen than you can get raw with items, nodes, jewels. Thus, by level 80 with enough currency you should be able to have atleast enough regen for 150+ stacks. That's an absurd amount of damage.

​@@sscr1p7 Typical reply from everyone defending something: "currency." Everything in this game is about "currency." Don’t have it? You can’t buy it, and you sure aren’t going to roll it. That’s the thing, with the perfect gear, every build is viable. Every class can run around with freaking wooden sticks if you so choose and create havoc, with the perfect gear and with enough currency that is. Most people with somewhat realistic and budget gear will have about 600-650 more regen with jewels (at least the affordable ones). That’s about 60-70 stacks before you start to plummet. This is also too little to even clear a map since you can’t keep up with the demon form cooldown unless you port back to base all the time. I played this build for quite some time, and due to KZbinrs creating videos like this, the "bots" have drastically increased the prices for gear for builds like this, and paying 5-10 div for a single gear piece is just silly. I have the gear for it because I’m a no-lifer and I bought it early, but for most people, it’s a far-fetched dream. And to be honest, the build sucks really end game. This build is useless since it creates an illusion that everyone can obtain such gear, but they can’t since it requires an unrealistic amount of currency to create such a dream build. The helm is useless as well since it’s a bug, regardless of the HP regen, and it will get nerfed to the ground. But who cares, it’s EA with a lot of opinions…

Leveling a witch now, Got to 41 and put on hexblast with the rest. I have to say, so far i haven't been able to sustain demon form too much (40-50 stacks tops) and now mana evaporates XD At which point would you say it should be possible to sustain demon form? does it not work at all before having X jewels with life regen and life regen on ALL gear etc? I did take the full recovery nodes as suggested.

I switched at 42. at low levels, you really need to get the unique helmet to sustain DF for a long enough period. I also had life regen on almost all my gear.

Idk if your looking for an easy mode leveling but I made a witch 2 days ago and within 6 hours of game time with her I’m level 62. Get a pillar of the caged gods staff and put 2 cold damage runes in it. Keep your gloves and rings up to date throughout campaign to keep damage going. And use 3 tempest bells. Support gems just throw anything damage on them doesn’t have to be specific. Same with staff strike. Damage gems. It’s not a witch but it’ll power level you into this build within hours

I love this build, only downside is not being able to stack magic find. You simply cant afford to stack it , over other stats,because you cant use weapon+offhand. So , even if this build was the only build that can clear t30 with 0 magic find,compared to other troll builds that farm t10 with 700 magic find , if u want to play this build for fun , without ever hoping to farm currency,then sure, this build is for you.

The rings, chest, and most likely other gear is capping chaos res. Bleed has to hit life to apply. Poison isn't strong enough to cause an issue with capped chaos res and the amount of life Regen we have.

came here to comment this, since commenting on your mobalytics guide isnt an option, you say in that guide that you can also invest in entropy instead of the farthest left socket, entropy is 3 (4 if you count the extra chaos node) points to invest, the socket is 5, im looking at the options and im thinking that a better alternative to entropy is actually lingering horror on the right of the starting area. entropy is 18% chaos damage, and you take a minion/spell damage increase on the way, lingering horror is 3 chaos nodes, and 23% on itself and is an investment of the 5 nodes you get from not investing in the far left socket. is there something im missing in why you say entropy, or did you overlook this? dont wanna come off as "guide wrong" just extremely curious.

@@doccalis3150 ohh it still works without u just reach around 300-400 stacks then instead the 1k+ ones which is still more than enough to kill every boss in the game quite chill; just takes longer; what i hope is that they finally fix demon form x trials bug which crashes the game constantly

If you want to min-max this build, skip killing Candlemass during campaign to keep your life as low as possible.

200 is not that low - you can try to lower health a little further - or just roll more regen on all items available.

To make this build better use mana for life in the passive tree and convert energy shield/life into mana and you will never die .. or am I crazy?

If you’re talking about taking mind over matter and eldritch battery it is possible and works but there’s high mana cost/usage and you’re tying your only defense to mana which you use constantly. I’m using that exact approach and at T9 I feel a bit squishy so I’m considering his approach for more tankiness

So if you use mind over matter with the chest piece you actually still get energy shielding. The person who made the video assumed it was the helmet that’s potentially bugged but it’s the body armour’s unique effect since you’ll lose all your shielding apart from the chest’s effect. My demon build uses it and it works well, especially the one that adds dmg proportional to max mana (3% per 100 mana) only problem is that you tread a fine line since your spells eat at your health effectively.

Mind over matter nerfs the hp regen since it transphers the energy shield to mana but the body armour provides es regardless which will function as you need it

Does anyone know if this is a valid late game build without the mask? Like how many stacks can you reach?Im expecting the mask to get patched and therefore running a build without it . I reach 120 stacks rn at lvl 60. Dont know If I should invest in more life regen rn because I am scared it will fall off. For now my build is budget tho (20 ex) and I think by investing more I could reach 200 maybe 250stacks without the mask, will that be enough?
