Thanks for posting! I've been running an ice shot deadeye with the unique ring and I like it a lot but it's starting to struggle sometimes in t13+ maps, this gave me some good ideas on things to pursue to scale it better in endgame.

Currently you dont need the unique ring. Go for added phys damage and cap you resists from ring imo.

@@salivcio I mean you would only use that ring for herald of ice to work. If you can shatter with freeze you dont need the ring. It is like 10% overall dps loss. If you wanna go for it you can do it. But good phys ring will provide both res and dps much more than the unique.

Yeah I am currently working on that build. It is a bit harder with cast on freeze to get procs on bosses but I will figure a way out.

It is so strong now that i think people are going to switch to it. The most important one was that ice shot couldn't generate freeze buildup before. Now it can. Makes a lot of stuff way easier.

@@da-ca-mf Whenever you get your third ascendency point and your +1 arrow (dualstring base) physical damage bow I would say. By this way you will have 3 arrows and it is enough. Keep it going man, have fun!

is that much crit on tree necessary? i feel like we are passing on other good nodes too if we just take crit , also what about using pandemonius for ele pen we can take it to 100 ele pen easily right ? and maybe get evasion nodes with acrobatics we will be much stronger defensively ? lmk your thoughts

Yeah you are right, i was testing with the crit tree to see how much we need. Crit damage we always want and it almost never enough but for crit chance, i think i ve got more than i need. The build is going to be way different with the new patch tho. I'll share an update on it.

@@heilyx yes i saw you were having mana problems as well so maybe mana leech somewhere since we are not converting 100% phys to cold we can leech with phys and is eye of winter really ? it only amps with spell damage no ? we can save 100 spirit and use a defensive aura or another herald

​@@lanaya9tfno, orb of winter debuffs the enemy with critical weakness. That is why i am doing so much damage. My crit chance is basically 37%. When critical weakness stacks on enemy i do almost 100% crit. That is why i am using that specfic spell.

Yeah tried w/o the fork. You need fork for map clearing. Fork does nothing on bosses. Ideally you should replace fork while entering boss encounter.

Hello, a question, is it necessary for the bow to have 2 bow attacks fire an additional arrow. Or is high physical dps enough?

High phys dps and +1 arrow is enough. More arrows better of course but +1 works..

No, I have it on always. It is more useful on bosses tho. For mapping CoF is better but it feels so bad while bossing.

Haven't tried pinnacle bosses with this build yet but it is going to be updated with the new patch. Ice shot is a lot stronger now.

@heilyx yeah I tried it and it's amazing. But I'm only act 3 cruel and haven't tried cast on crit yet (have low crit). Maybe cast on freeze would also work?

@@leivendil8824 Yeah that is the main difference. Before the new patch Ice Shot has this key "Can not cause freeze buildup" that is why i was playing with that unique ring. Now it can build freeze so we should switch to cast on freeze imo. So you don't need crit at all.

@@heilyxdid you level using ice shot? Or is lightning still the proper leveling and then switching over, any tree swaps necessary?

@@raahhhhhhhh I have levelled with lightning until some point, then switched. If you dont have like 3 projs. Ice shot is not that great. It definitely goes stronger with number of projs. Also for the tree, it shouldn't be that much of a problem. You will have a lot of gold and it is just made easier to respec with the new patch.

Can I replicate your build with a budget of about 150ex?

Hmm I truly don't know. My bow is like 100ex and quiver is like 50. All other stuff is like you can get whatever you want to cap your resist and stuff. Definitely not an expensive build but since it is an off-meta build you might not find what you want immediately.

Are you casting ice shot and eye of winter basically? Looking for a one button build - but this seems not too bad. How do you make all the ice spikes spawn?

Eye of winter is cast on crit. It's one button for clearing and two buttons for bossing. Tornado shot + ice shot
