In PoE 3.22 Hexblast Mine Saboteur League Starter builds are all the rage. In today's video I'll show you how to craft a Hexblast Mine wand from scratch. The process is fairly simple, but if you league started a Hexblast Mine build and are still playing it, this crafting video might help you upgrade your weapon fairly cheaply.

Man your luck was insane here. Took me 85 resonators (2 failed annuls) for +2 and 12 prefixlock/veiled orb trying to get crit chance. I wish good RNG upon the rest of you all still trying to craft this.

Why is the fracture crit chance instead of multiplier? And it makes no sense considering you would use visage with it. And even without it... is 4% base crit on hexblast that bad that you would want crit instead of multi? Miners get a ton of crit from tree anyway.

I bought a shield for this build and am not sure how to craft it. people are using +life essence craft on a fractured base. Do you know how to find out the best way to craft an item? The top item for this build is spell damage, crit chance to spells, life, double damage, +1 chaos and curses do more damage (not that that one is very important).

Might be cheaper to buy then craft as a heads up to other miners. Its roughly 1.5 to 2 div every 10 resonators right now, expect to buy 30-40 if your lucky 90 if you're like me :D

I believe dot multi is higher weight than damage per charge so it might be a better choice to block when unveiling

The veiled mod is locked into either being a suffix or prefix when it's created. If you annulled the spell damage during the fossil step, you should probably just roll over it since it's extremely unlikely suffix to prefix will hit a good prefix without the fossil blocking shenanigans. If you actually have a veiled prefix because you used a veiled chaos with an open prefix, there's actually a decent chance to unveil one of the two spell damage mods or chaos damage. Then you should have full prefixes, the fractured suffix and 0-2 random suffixes. Best case: the VC gave you 1 good suffix and 1 open suffix. Bench craft mine throwing speed and you're done. Good case: you have 2 open suffixes. craft prefixes cannot be changed, then harvest add/remove critical, and you have a 25% chance for T3+ crit chance and only crit chance and crit multi can appear, so even an unlucky hit isn't bad. Bench craft mine speed to finish. If you don't want to settle, you can re-craft pref-CBC and scour to restart this step. The harvest craft costs about 4 div, so this step is 6 div minimum and 8 divs per retry, which is getting into mirror metacrafting territory, except with a mid fractured base instead of a GG synth base. Mid case: You have 1 open suffix. Craft pref-CBC and scour to be at the "Good case" starting step. Just adds 2 div to the overall cost. Worst case: You have full suffixes. You have to hit a 2 out of 5 annul - If you hit a prefix, RIP; if you hit a suffix, you're at "Mid case." You should not really be in this scenario for this craft. There's virtually no chance the fossils will give you both +1 mods with an open prefix. The only time you'll need to annul is if the fossils fill up the suffixes. You will annul spell damage 20% of the time; just treat it like you hit one of the +1 mods and roll over it. If you annul again, it's a 50% chance to remove a suffix. Then it'll cost 2 div to craft pref-CBC and have a 33% for a veiled prefix using a veiled chaos and the other 66% will be a veiled suffix with decent chance of a trash prefix on top -- not worth the 2 div gamble to possibly be at a place to spend 6 div or more to get a suffix. 2 divs is like 13-14 fossil setups, just roll over it.

Omen and prophecy are the 2 preferred bases because they have highest base crit with spell damage implicit (8% vs. imbued wand's 7% or almost 1.5% more crit with a t1 local crit roll which is a big difference with Sandstorm + Marylene's). But any lvl 82 or below wand has 1/12 to hit +2 and spell damage using the fossil combination resonator like in the video. This craft is expensive enough, the extra money for better base is well worth imo.

Yup, you're right! On all other weapons, Charges is the right block, but on wands, DoT is correct. I haven't made a wand in aaaaages so just assumed it was the right block. Fortunately it wasn't a disaster!

Hmm I'm not totally sure - you'd need to check PoB. My gut instinct is DD while focused if you have an extra button for it, otherwise go Multi!

@@Lolcohol you don't have to restart at fossils, if you have an open suff for crafting you can simply Prefixes CbC and unveil again, of course if you fill suffixes you need to hit that 40% chance annule again first. I failed to unveil crit 6x in a row despite blocking dmg per power charge and was able to just redo Pre CbC + Veiled Chaos on my perfect fracture spell crit, +2, max t3 spell damage wand, and luckily only filled suffixes once while unveiling and had a successful annule. So I can confirm first hand you can just restart at the Prefixes CbC and veiled chaos + block again until you hit crit.

Another way to craft: fractured spell damage base, +2 with Aetheric+Corroded+Metallic+Shuddering, clear suffixes, bench craft multimod crit chance with mine throwing speed. More deterministic and costs much much less than unveiling RNG

Check the mod groups. Trigger alone has 1500 weight, but Damage per Power Charge (1000 weight) is in the same family as 2 other mods which each have 1000 weight as well, meaning you block 3000 weight by crafting any of the three @Lolcohol actually messed it up too, since its common knowledge that weapons usually block dmg per charge; but in fact WANDS can more effectively block 4000 instead by crafting on any DoT multi. Fire, Phys, Cold, and Chaos DoT each have 1000 weight, so it blocks 4000 by crafting one of those instead of 3000

@@kylemenos it's expected ON AVERAGE that you will see it 1/12, but it's only 8.3333% chance per resonator use which means you're still only ~64.8% : (1 - (1-.08333)^12) likely to have seen the combination by the 12th try, and that is for ANY spell damage, which can be as low as a 10% (not ideal to settle on a 10% spell dmg with the cost of the base + cost of the craft imo) but even if you hit 1/12 you still have RNG to not fill suffixes which if failed means you need a lucky 2/5 annule (3 prefixes and 2 non-fractured suffixes) to not remove a prefix, and then if you succeed that 40% roll you again need veiled chaos to not fill suffix (unless you pay 2d for aisling) at which point you have about 1/3-1/5 to then unveil crit after blocking dmg per charge, or you have to redo veiled chaos and hope again it doesn't fill suffix. So to end with +2, spell damage, crit, and open suffix for mine throw speed is much much less than 1/12, the video got extremely lucky showing how to perform this craft. Of course if you don't care about the Wand being properly crafted to use with Sandstorm Visage and Marylene's Fallacy then yes it's 1/12 ON AVERAGE to hit +2 and any random level of spell damage which is pretty wasteful for a base as expensive as these imo.

well, you are only expected to hit a +2 with t5 or better spell damage about 1/60 times, it's ~1.673% per hit to get t5 or better. so even after 60 tries that's only ~63.5% chance to have seen any t5 or better spell damage ONCE. so you're not really unlucky here. The streamer was super lucky with his craft to be successful in every RNG portion of the craft.

Note, if you want to invest more, you need to buy fractured spell damage I'd say. In general, you'll always hit under 70% spell damage. The most common rolls. Then you'd spend quite a bit more to build your suffixes. But that's mostly to get a good spell damage roll. It's quite a significant amount of damage when you have 90% spell damage instead of 29%. The suffix craft would be prefixes cannot be changed and then you decide if you wanna be safe. Sacred lifeforce it. But you can accept so many outcomes that it's easy. That is to say, you can hit base crit and spell crit chance. That is mostly to get a good prefixes. You will never hit t1 spell damage of course since it is 82... and you really likely won't hit t2 or t3... or even t4. Around 70% of the time your odd is to hit 10% to 39% spell damage. Having said that, I just checked the market and oh boy, those fractured items ilvl76 to 82 are ALL GONE. That is to say, they exist only on fully crafted items for that build. So you'd have to go with notifications to try and snipe one up before someone else grab it to craft it up. Still, to get good prefixes, I think frac spell damage is a good idea. To me it just look ugly if you have +2 and all those perfect mods and the last prefix is 25% spell damage. Which is less than the implicit. The other way is continually selling your failed spell damage prefix until you hit higher %. That may be the cheaper way to go, but you'll still need to wait and sell a bunch of wands with low % spell damage. The market will have a lot of those by now.
