Havent been playing as much recently - still using this build, but i logged in today after watching this video to give this strategy a shot, just dropped a mageblood on my second map. My first EVER mageblood! Haven't even ever dropped a HH! Was only a 3 flask belt but I'm hyped! Now I can get some good upgrades! edit - just div'd it up to 4 flasks with 2! :D

Me and my friend have been doing this strategy from the second week on league start following another video guide. After farming so many maps, I can confirm that stream of monster is 100% much better than 3 rare, like A LOT BETTER. But it take so many chaos orb to roll, so we decide to go in the map as a duo and I bring 1div worth of alchemy, my friend bring 1 div worth of scouring orb. We just hold down shift + left click to roll all the box. It's so much faster and cheaper this way than using chaos orb unless you don't mine rolling 3 rare. I tried doing this alc+scour just by myself, it took 50 mins just to roll all box with steam of monster lol. But it is definitely worth it, one map I got 43div of scarabs with no dup+all steam of monster box in just one map not including valdo box or other drops. If don't mind rolling all box this T17 farm is just insane. I would say the average income for this is 20-45div per map depends on your T17 more%scarabs.

I wrote this for another comment but just going to leave this here so it's more visible for Snoo: I get the concept; Just roll maps with a regex designed for multiple strategies preferred maps, and then sell the good maps for other strategies, but it's pretty hard to know what the 'good maps' are for all the strats that people will actually buy. I wouldn't mind either a short section or a whole video from Snoo where he either explains in detail or rolls a couple hundred maps in real time so we can get a good idea.

quant, pack size, and scarabs all multiply with each other to generate loot. It's not quuuiiite as simple as directly mulitplying them together because different monsters drop different amounts of loot, but generally speaking it will follow that mathematical pattern. you're spawning more monsters that generate more eldritch alters, that already drop more total items, with a larger % of those total items being what you want. loot returns are very exponential

For simplicity, lets say we have 100 pieces of loot, 100 * 2 * 2 * 2 = 800 pieces of loot. (in this example, 100% increased quant/%more/packsize) 100 * 3 * 2 * 2 = 1200 pieces of loot. (200% quant, 100% %more/packsize) (1200 - 800) / 800 = 50% more loot in total. Which is exactly the value you'd get if you look at the same calculation for how much we increased %quantity. It isn't exponential, it's multiplicative (which is what I assume snoo meant, since with linear scaling you wouldn't get the 'double' in loot he talks about) That being said, packsize probably does have more of an effect then is stated in that calculation, because it increases the amount of altars found as well (which in turn, yes, increases quantity) as well as the amount of monsters dropping loot, which *is* exponential, because one factor is affecting another factor. How big of an effect this has is totally dependent on how good altars are however, just because it's exponential doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I wonder if this discrepancy accounts for enough of a difference to have the effect he talks about.

Hey there Snoo, a few questions: 1. Would you still run risk scarabs if you cant do all mods? What are the mods you avoid on your build? 2. Would this strat of rolling boxes work for a currency point of view instead of scarabs? 3. How does one go about acquiring so many high rolled maps? How much are you willing to play for a well rolled map? 4. I saw a few of yours had like 400% up to 500% scarab roll (inside the map), how much is that, 150% initially? This was crazy to watch along with your reactions!

1. Personally I would think if you have even 1 or 2 mods that completely brick your build it's not a smart idea. You're investing quite a bit into each map so losing a map or two is probably quite a big deal on div/h, but nobody can really say for sure for each build specifically. 2. Most likely it would be pretty different, you can definitely just do the previous strat (Fubgun's boxes) and just unallocate the corrupted boxes node on the tree. It's also probably worth going for a juicer map like in this video, although I'm really not sure if rolling for +2 modifiers on each map would be worth it, most likely not if you're not selling other good rolls. Since you're not going to have a humongous investment if you're not rolling for that, most likely you'd want to stop pretty early on the actual box rolling itself, definitely not going until stream of monsters each time, especially on arcanist and div card boxes. But rolling for additional items + % inc quantity could be pretty good. Would probably only be better if you're quick at rolling them. 3. I would like to know the answer to this question myself. It's pretty easy to calculate. Now that Back to Basics no longer exists, there is no rng for how much the rolls on your map increase. You can get a maximum of 62% + 12% + 12% = 86% (flat from tree)+(2% per map modifier)+(3% per 5% quality on the map) This number can go up a little higher with risk scarabs and 8mod maps. NumberInMap = More% * 1.86. So a 500% scarab roll in map would be 500 / 1.86 = 268% ish

Yeah, I probably wouldn’t run the maps in that case. I attempted running them for currency instead. It looks viable, but inferior. I rolled maps for the magic pack size Strat and others while saving these back. I might pay up to 5div for really really good ones. Virtually all of the maps started with 90-150% more scarabs. A couple were around 200% all had the antagonist modifier.

I ran red alters on ziggurat with the previous strat, the fubgum one. And it was bad. 2d average per map and the divine dupe from boxes was 12 times total over 100 maps. I am in the middle of a 50 map rerun of that strat using blue alters on Sanctuary - no deviations. And the difference is night and day. I am 12 maps in and the divine dupe from boxes has happened 7 times. Quant seems to play a massive factor. After your final thoughts it makes me want to go back and try the influenced pack size strat again but mandate 150-200% currency which I may do after my rerun of the fubgum box strat. I won't be running this strat from the video. I am getting sick of boxes all together though I wouldn't mind rolling them and I used a huge chunk of my currency to buy a mirror for a future build swap so I no longer have the capitol to invest atm. But this looks like a very nice strat.

It heavily depends on how lucky you get with altars. If you have shrines, it will be a huge difference most of the time. In this farm, I could see the impact being pretty negligible.

Hey i was wondering about something you mentionned in passing in another video, you mentionned that you can run ele reflect maps and i'm not quite sure how i'd go about doing that on the same build aside from swapping pantheon which isn't enough

I also pull 5 passive points to put them into the Elemental mastery nearby, which grants 60% reduced elemental reflect damage taken. Paired with the pantheon that's 110%.

Does the Ambush Scarab of Potency make boxes spawn 5 additional rares instead of 3 if the mod is present? Obviously doesn’t do anything for the stream of monsters mod, but a 66% more loot modifier seems pretty good for those that aren’t keen on finding the “stream” modifier for every single box
