Thank you! I noticed that a lot of generic crafting videos assumed a lot of knowledge and didn't go over the absolute basics so I wanted to do something that didn't assume any prior knowledge. I really want to remake this series since the later episodes are quite out of date, but crafting keeps changing so I don't want to put a massive amount of time into something that will become redundant in a matter of months :(

This is a great video, thank you. Question: How can you tell the mod is hybrid? Tempest mantle armor you showed has flat ES and % ES, and you said that is a hybrid mod. How can you tell? I am assuming you are talking about the %ES. There is no clue it is hybrid or regular % ES.
@Lolcohol3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Glad you enjoyed the video. So in game, it will be obvious if a mod is a hybrid mod if you press alt with advanced mod descriptions turned on, but on the trade site, you'll see little blue and red numbers and letters to the left of the mod - P2, P2 + P4, P2, S5 etc. The first letter is telling you whether it is a prefix or a suffix and the number is the tier. So I knew that that 106% energy shield was hybrid because it shows P2 + P4, meaning that that 106 is made up of a % mod and a hybrid % mod Another way is to learn the second half of the hybrid, if that makes sense. I can generally tell when I've rolled a hybrid ES, even without pressing Alt, because I see the "increased stun and block recovery" mod - that's another indicator that it's a hybrid modifier. Let me know if that answered your question!

@martinmystery46102 жыл бұрын
what's the difference between "% increased X" and "% increased maximum X"?
@Lolcohol2 жыл бұрын
Some modifiers, like resistances, have a natural maximum amount. For example, resistances are capped at 75%. If you get something that says "+3% maximum lightning resistance", you're able to get your lightning res to 78% (provided you have enough resistance to meet that cap) In terms of things like life/ES - I'm not sure why it's often worded as "to maximum life". Maybe there's a reason for it but I've never thought about it!
@aska2212 жыл бұрын
What does a modifier do? Lets say it says 50% increased phys damage on my weapon. It applies to my weapons physical damage. Makes sense But what if it says 10% increased fire damage on my weapon. But I don't have any flat fire damage rolled on it? Does the increased fire damage do nothing? What if it says increased damage on my necklace? Does it apply to my weapon, my spells, my attacks, or nothing at all?

So if a rare item can have 3 prefix and 3 suffix, where do the hybrid mods go. Does the hybrid mod take up a prefix slot or a suffix slot? Or is it a seperate slot altogether and you can have 3 prefix and 3 suffix along with it. Sorry for basic question, maybe I am overthinking this.
@Lolcohol3 жыл бұрын
Don't apologise for asking a question A hybrid mod only takes up ONE mod slot. So hybrid armour/life is a prefix that adds flat life and armour, but it's only one mod :) It's not a separate mod so you CAN'T have 3 prefixes 3 suffixes AND 7th mod that's a hybrid - hybrids still fall under prefixes and suffixes. Let me know if that makes sense!
