about 4 days before i realized i was tired of Path. no amount of new build ideas nor skill gems have made me not realize they just really add random repetitive things (and anything Ziz mentions) to keep u busy until endgame if you get there, then the grind is just rinse and repeat until private leagues (pay2play mini versions of same mess). days off didn't aide. but boy did uninstalling feel great! free at last! permanent mental ban on returning to Wraeclast

For this league, I actually charted up a build concept that got to 10 mill DPS, which is the highest I'd gotten without using a build guide. I then changed builds to something tankier with more damage :P

got my undergraduate last league id say adn was finaly hoping to start doing real builds and work on that juicey master degree but yeah NOPE. turns out i musta failed a class last year and gotta try again. some day phd someday haha

Might want to put in some instruction on stacking DOTs - They nerfed the hell out of stacking some time ago but I never understood how it worked in the first place, and haven't a clue how it works now.... So, let's say you're an elementalist using a physical attack skill such as toxic rain to proc burn and chill through the various ascendency nodes. Do all three of them tick individually, or will only one of them be ticking (and which one - the highest, or the 'first' which would be the poison from rain). The whole 'converting' the physical from the toxic rain to fire and chill would be a whole video unto itself...

Thanks for the vid mate, however at 11:54 , "X% Increased physical damages" also applies to spell that relies on physical (like blade vortex etc.) not only on attacks right?

No. On a weapon, as Big Ducks says, increased physical applies only to attack damage with the weapon or with skills that are based off weapon attack damage. The affix (on a weapon) would have to increase 'global' physical or add physical to spells to affect Blade Vortex.

@@lucasmercier5813 I don't know. They may want to minimize word count. It's probably the same reason that they don't specify that bonuses to armor/evasion/energy shield on armor pieces are local and not global.

Damn it. Even going full potato with no defenses and 30% dot multiplier + 50% increased damage per each gear piece i cant go over 200k dps in pob.

Let's be honest... being a class cannon dealing unethical damage but dying every other map couple times... its a pain. 1st priority is not to die easily. 2nd to deal unethical dps.

tbh i still didn't understand the difference between "more" and "increased" damage - an example could have helped, e.g. 1000 base damage: how does it scale if you have 50% increased or if you have 50% more damage?

the increase dmg will apply first so you will have 1500 dmg and then come the "more" dmg multiplying your 1500 dmg by 50% making it 2250 in this example it doesnt seems insane but in an actual build where you have a lot of dmg increase's this 50% more dmg will have insant value

I agree, this vid wasn't very helpful. I'll try to answer your question. We begin the game with 100% damage. Something gives you 10% increased, so 100% + 10% is 110%. If your base damage is 100, you will now do 110 (100*1.1). Now you find another piece of gear with 10% increased damage, this gets added to the other increase, so 100% + 10% + 10% = 120%. So now you will do 120 damage (100*1.2)= 120. Starting over, again with 100 base damage, let's say instead of 10% increased, you found something that gives you 10% more damage. Again that would bring you to 110 damage. (100 base damage * 1.1). Here's where it becomes different. Let's say again you find another thing to give you another 10% more damage. Unlike with "increase" earlier, we don't add the two percentages together. It's more simple in that you just take whatever amount of damage you are doing currently, and again multiply it by 1.1 . So we take our 110 damage, and multiply by 1.1 and get 121. In other words 100*1.1*1.1 You can see were doing a higher amount of damage in the second example than in the first. Try replacing the "10” with bigger numbers and you will see it's a significant difference. Tldr: more is better than increase. Side notes: two instances of "25% more" is better than one instance of "50% more". 100*1.25*1.25= 156.25 vs 100*1.5 = 150. In other words, get as many "more" multipliers as you can, because every one that you get, makes the others more valuable. Which is the opposite of "increase", which becomes less valuable the more you have of it. The higher the amount of ”increase" you have, the less valuable it becomes. If you have no increase, then gain 100 percent increased, you double your damage (100% + 100% = 200%). So using 100 base damage as an example, you see we went from 100 damage to 200 damage, doubling our damage. If you have 300 increased, and find something that gives you 100 increase, you are only raising your damage by a quarter. Example using 100 base damage: 300 increased would mean 400 % damage (remember we start with 100 percent). So 400 damage (100*4). We add another 100 increase. So 500 %, so 100*5= 500. Going from 400 damage to 500 damage is only raising your damage by a quarter, not nearly as significant as doubling it. If you have 300% increased damage, and want to double your damage, you'd have to find another 400% increase, to go from 400 damage (400% damage) to 800 damage (800% damage). Hope that helps. I realize I got kinda haphazard with my writing, I'm rushing to work.

@@nimnogaparus The part when you said that more more multipliers are good, is wrong in this case->If you get 10%more spell damage and then 10%more spell damage,it's the same as 20%more spell damage (more modifiers are additive with themselves). If you get 10%more spell damage and then 10%more projectile damage, then that's not 20%more damage,it's more than 20, the game calculates 10%more spell damage +the other more spell damage mods and then the 10%more projectile dmg, which is applied after spell damage (it's an example, the idea is that you only multiply your more damage ONLY when the sources of more dmg are different, not the same aka spell damage with spell damage vs spell damage with projectile damage) - >you can check this when you equip elemental focus on an ele build instead of a controlled destruction or something. The more elemental is basically different then your other dmg types, so it multiplies your more dmg.

@@GE_Photon_Lord If I am wrong, I hope you can show that to me - I certainly don't claim to know everything. I can tell you the reasoning behind what I said though - if you go into path of building, and hover over your "more", it will show the sources of that "more", and if you add them up, they will *not* add up to the total you see. For instance, if you have 44% more physical, and hover over that, you might see 2 sources, each one giving 20 % more physical, which turns out to be 44% more. (20%+ 20% + .2(20%)) = 44%. You will *not* see 20% more physical, 20% more physical, 4% more physical, for example. Which would turn out to be 49.76% more. Check for yourself and let me know if you get a different result. ✌️

Ya, breaking 1M dps isn't something most PoE players ever achieve. It's these 1%'ers that just have a better understanding of the game that can get to that point either with smarter crafting or better currency farming to buy insane gear.

Video misses so much things. :/ Just some of them: In general to deal BIG DAMAGE you need BIG INVESTMENT, unless build is broken, like Blade Blast, Warcry juggling builds, etc. etc. Different skills have different damage ceiling. Dot in general has lower ceiling than hit builds. But dot builds are often easier to get into comfortable damage range. Crit builds have higher ceiling than Elemental Overload builds. After bases covered you should prioritise adding meaningful damage scaling methods such as - resistance penetration/reduction, more multiplier, incr. damage taken mods, etc. etc. Crit multiplier is not always better than incr. damage. Make sure accuracy is sufficient if running attack build that hits. Sometimes build is lacking accuracy so badly actual Accuracy Support gem is better than more damage supports lol. What's the point of mentioning 10 Ex Quad multy jewels? All these videos miss some important points. I feel like these video would be so much better if content creators just hired me to help with content. xD
