I just found my first one after going through maps on a lvl 80 witch (11 minions) and and 75 monk (ice monk) these are way to rare

Does using a higher tier map in a tower increase the fog of war reveal distance? Not sure what you meant by the comment about not using 14/15s for towers

towers are garbage, there's usually not many rares in them. just use t1 stones and get it over with.

I killed the boss and all the rares, had 0 monsters remaining. Didn't get the map complete message and as luck would have it, the map node was under a mountain so I couldn't see the colour of it... Then I've come back to it later in the day and it says map failed!! Wtf?

Just found stone citadel, first citadel for me. Lvl 92 monk, should I lvl up more? Or try it? Also use a standard blue map for it? Have to be a 15?

After over 100 hours searching for a citadel with my invoker monk (who easily explodes the entire screen with dual heralds on T15) I found this citadel and within 15 seconds got killed by some rando enemies. God I hate this game sometimes.

If you put t14 or t15 waystone into tower you have a better chance to find a citidel?

Hey Don and audience.. plz tell me what i did wrong? I killed Doryani and all the rares ... i think only less than 5 mobs left in the map. I looked all over. No skulls on minimap.. But it still says "No Map Completion".. now it said i failed the map on the Atlas... what did I miss! plz help

@@leandrorama9523 it makes zero difference what map you put into a tower, the atlas is pre generated and the tower just reveals the area

I never use more than a tier 1 map in those damn towers, layout is terrible, mob density is bad, annnnnd I have minions, minions and doors dont get along. That said, never more than a tier 1 map in towers and I have found several

I got the boss to ZERO hp, couldnt do anymore damage - he never entered phase 2 and i eventually died. Bugged out for me after 3 days of searching for my first citadel. Amazing experience to be honest. I came from escape from tarkov so i'm partially masochistic - so i guess i'll be alright -- hahahah

Does the map bos difficulty nodes make the citadel boses alot harder? I got 1 shot first try :( but have no problems in tiwr 15s

@ they do, pretty night and day difference, with all Map Boss difficulty it’s a tough fight, without you can basically one shot. You do lose chance for additional drops though

That happened to me - I got him to zero hp - couldnt do anything and i eventually died... very disappointing.

no, theyre kinda far from the beginning. about 12 screens away for me. you NEED t15 or higher to run it but u can find it running maps below that. its just that the citadel itself needs T15+

@@MJ-yt6ys as far as i can tell, you get one chance at it and u cant go at it again. im basing this off of one of my run, where i killed the boss but forgot to clear the rares. it said "map failed" and i cannot go there anymore. but i did kill the boss and get the fragment. but forgot to clear the rares. so im guessing its a one shot only. but they are more common after u found the first one. i found plenty after the first one so its not the end of the world if u fail i guess

I quit. Bad Map substain, no endgame progession after 5 days of mapping. Everyone outside of streamer who are paid to play it as part of a job are lost in endgame. And then imagine doing the boss blind and dying. Again searching for 20-30 hrs. No ty. its beta. Fix the game ggg.

@@testingrtx3991 The bad map sustain, yea that is his problem, but the citadels are extreme hard to find, like most need somewhere between the 200 a 400 maps just looking to find 1 citadel, with poe1 you saw your progress and know where to go, here it's just blind guess work. Easy solution is to spread out the small buildings around the citadels so it covers a larger area or a unique precursor tablet that points to the nearest citadel.

use alc / regal / ex / vaal orb after u reach T10+ and search for map boss. Take sustain in atlas tree and its fine.

Jesus dude, 2 minutes of rambling and scrolling the atlas...most people here to see the fight. We know they are a pain to find...we don't need 2 minutes of zipping around your atlas map.
