I play a melee sorceress with 2hand hammer it is pretty good. Freeze, anvil of the gods, use time skills to reset

you gotta keep checking the shop for gear it updates every level up, and gambles alright if you really want a specific type of gear

someone suggested to a friend on stream to do: fireball + scatter + unleash and it was pretty mental, fireballs everywhere

That sounds fun - I wish the respec was more forgiving at early levels. I feel I’m quite invested in ice but the skills other than ice bomb aren’t that great so far

I think you can deduce what the rare modifiers do from just playing. In this case, the magma shield obviously prevented damage until it was gone, then came back after some time. Your dps is quite low. Node wise, you probably are going to head north in the tree for the snow crystal that improves freeze and cold damage. One very important thing is that you seem to think that the support gems in the detail screen for a skill are the only ones you can apply there. This is absolutely NOT the case. You can apply many, many more support gems to certain skills like Frost Bomb to modify its behaviour. For example Fast Forward could be add to it, which would reduce the time they need before they explode. Or you could add area size or many other things, as you wish.

Yeah my damage certainly felt great the first 20 odd levels but since about level 25 has started falling off. I probably need to spend some time optimising my gear and potentially tweaking my passive allocation. I later fought another magma shield enemy and killed it fine, so I think that specific one the way the health regen was working with the shield and without having good dps made it immortal!

@@Eharbad You probably also want to try and get a weapon with +2 cold skills and a bunch of spell damage on it. I have also not followed any guides and my dps is also fairly low but good enough to progress

I found one in the mid 20s with +3 to fire and contemplated respeccing lol
