I’m gonna be honest. My grandfather died way before I was born, and the man my grandmother married after that was never interested in having a relationship with any of us, even on the rare occasion that we saw them. And my fathers parents, well, to say they’re jackasses is putting it *very* lightly. As much as this type of thing makes me sad, it’s even more comforting. I never would have been able to have good experiences with grandparents either way, just not how it went, but at least through good people like you and the help of the Internet, well, I can experience it to some extent. What I’m trying to say is thank you, you’re a kind person, there for those who haven’t always had kind people.
