to be more optimal , get the green 2h sword or 1h pistol from campaign hit lvl 3, get a clear skill then do crucible to 5 devo's, its faster then just starting out there at lvl 1 doing nothing

Optimal can and should be different for each person... Lets say i enjoy (yes enjoy) to kite with ranged weapons but My Friend dont... @@martinmikkelsen8183 Optimal - The best possible under certain conditions. So no, optimality is independent of your taste. If you prefer something that is worse, it will not become optimal becasue of that. Example: If objectively X deals more damage than Y, then choosing Y choose the less optimal solution because of your preferences. However, X still remains a better option. You just chose the worse option. It's even funny how people try to adjust reality to their theories with wishful thinking, and because of that they change the meaning of words, or give them new meaning, or change the meaning of certain concepts.

Really cool tip! I'll definitely use this next time I make a new character. I haven't actually played the Crucible yet, lol. I basically bought the DLC to throw the devs more money and complete my Grim Dawn package.

Equipping the green greatsword you get near the beginning of the game and fighting until you die or win will get you to level 8 if you cash in.

Hey I started playing grim dawn recently and have been enjoying your videos. If possible can you make a video going through common devotion combinations? I'm really interested in devotion planning but there is a scarcity of guides out there.

I don't know of any guides, but one thing you can do is go to grimtools.com, and there's a devotion tree there. It's a great way to plan out your builds

The thing I have seen is you can do whatever you want to, but they are largely used to cap your resistances, especially for end game.

I usually play certain classes in the Crucible to roughly lvl 20 with 5-6 devos.

I had 50 points before ultimate on the last character I made and for some odd reason I remembered all the devotion points areas after not playing for almost a year. To me this would be slower.

I only use crucible on new characters to get a headstart on devotion points. I wish I could turn XP off while doing this, at least once I've hit around level 10. I just crucible to wave 10, quit, collect loot, buy devotion, start a new crucible. Past 5 devotions it costs 5 tributes, so you are level 18 by the time you get 10 devotion points. Another problem with running all crucible is...you don't get additional inventory bags, as they are rewards for completing specific quests, which is why I stop at 10 devotions and go to the campaign.

Yeahhhh.... I tried crucible and by wave five I'm dead, every time. No matter how much I kite, ranged mobs are insane. They completely ignore pets and don't drop loot so there's no upgrading anything until you're dead at like wave 5 or 6.

Do this till 20. It's not that tedious and you can steamroll Act I when your finished.

Good tips but personally I would find this to make the start of the normal game too easy.. it's already too easy on normal difficulty, veteran is where it's at, and this will make even that too easy.

Probably too late, but not really just get level 2 or 3 on the campaign so you could pick a class and clearing skill. I start every character with 5-6 Devotion points from Crucible doesn't matter if the Char is Soft or Hardcore.

Just tried Crucible for the first time. Made a lvl 1 char, jumped in, started the match, then BOOM, a lvl 95 jumped in a cleared up to round 50 then dipped out. I hid in the corner, at the end I was lvl 17.
