Yeah grim dawn is punishing as hell if you're only just beginning to get familiar with it. Tried hardcore, lost a toon, said fuck it i'll come back once i know the game.

Best way is to level a character to max without selecting your class and having weapons with skills on works, I have a level 100 that i backup and then change the name class etc then i dont have to level all the time.

Or you could do what I did, finish the game on Ultimate without picking any classes. I made a copy of that character, so now any time I want a new character, I just use that. I keep a folder of all the characters with its name followed by the classes I picked. I also left the kymon/black emissaries unchosen, so i can pick which one is right for each new character.

the only thing i hate about grim dawn is when a map become so clusterphobic it's hard to navigate even with a minimap, the main reason i quit early on is because burrwich is hell to navigate for newbie, i hated it so much, but after using map guide fron grimtools it's fun bc i didn't get lost every god damn time, later maps are hell a fun and cool af, i really enjoy roaming around killing mobs, but a map with house like burrwich and malmouth is a hell to play

I've leveled 3 characters. 1st was a warder to 75, then got a death knight to 82. Finally I've got a Warlord to 98 (about 10 kills from 99). But I have to say each character just ground to a halt. I mean, The first two I was green, and wasn't stacking properly. But this warlord. I've got tons of physical, and tons of internal trauma, but I just takes me forever to kill shit. My righteous fervor w/ out any stacks sits at around 17,000. I went from having a blast to barely being able to log in, I've tried every attack. I'm spending 20k per point now. It just seems pointless.

I think you may have to do a bit of research to further progress your character. I'd suggest searching for gear on grimtools and trying to acquire them. Even blue gear and Reputation gear can take you far

@@PohxKappa Today I've spend over 4 million moving my points around trying to find something that works. I've respec'd my devotion at least 4 times from scratch. At one point i had both Oleron and the Stone Matron. Right now I think i've found 'build' that is working for me. Still takes me way to long to kill bosses. Such boring fights. After the first round of cool downs I pretty much know how the fight is going to go. After that its just a long slog as I slowly whittle away at the enemies huge health pool. Have got a few drops that have helped a lot. Also getting close to a mythical Dawngaurd which might come in handy for either my warder or my deathknight (can't remember exactly). No. There's cooldowns on mobility skills like all skills. And it's slower than something like PoE because the enemies are meant to pose somewhat of a challenge instead of being just more fodder for you to cleave through.

attack leech only applies on skills with %weapon damage

@@Junksho1 Some spells have %weapon damage as part of their component (ex: Calidor's Tempest). Those can leech (only the weapon damage portion will leech tho, so you want that as high as possible to make it noticeable). Other's don't (ex: Panetti's Replicating Missile) and so can't. But then there's also some items which add that %weapon damage component to spells that don't normally have them, enabling them to leech (see here for a few of them that do that for Panetti's - www.grimtools.com/calc/M2gD4LvV )

Hi! I can assure you summoners still do very well even at endgame ^^ I finished to level up my Cabalist from 85 to 100 in the first days of Forgotten Gods, and even with bad gear I'm crushing the entire game. The one Pohx is showcasing at the end of the video seems pretty powerful imo, and definitely worth to try!

Everything I read puts them @ #1 when it comes to shards and such, so yes. I'd say so. Pet builds have always been pretty powerful.

@@gnauben The Necro-Occ build is pretty damn powerful which you can find on the forums and relatively easy to set up. Me and Pohx had the same idea, as I had just found this set on my Oppressor which I am now rebuilding a Blight Fiend Pet Build. So.

Put it in the character transfer tab, I think there's a chest in crucible, else you have to do some of the start first to unlock the smuggler in devil's crossing

You can try the blacksmith in Tyrant's Hold on Elite/Ultimate who let's you craft legendaries too. Although it is random, it's kinda like popping treasure orbs with currency. Getting specific sets just take forever sometimes depending on build and RNG

Considering people can just infinitely spawn whatever items they want with GD stash, i'd say trading in this game is pretty bad. The items they trade you may very well have been created with cheats and at that point it kind of sours the game experience. If someone is of the opinion that it does not sour the experience, why even trade at all? Just make the decision that you can "trade" with GD stash and hand in a legendary you farmed, in exchange for the one you want.

Most builds on the forums aren't really aimed for new players and they expect you to have massive amount of set items and whatnot, some of them however are aimed at newer players. I started over in this expansion and have been following this build which only relies on faction gear and I am currently level 85 and breezing through ultimate - www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65775

Make sure you are not trying to transfer a Writ. Only the Mandates can be transfered. Writs look like a single page of paper while the Mandates look like an unraveled scroll. Also, Writs can be purchased with Honored rep while Mandates are only available with Revered rep.
