Still one of my favorite movies. It captures the end of the 80’s beginning of 90’s atmosphere so well. It’s just one of those movies that’s like comfort food. It makes you feel good. Patrick Swayze would be a major star still today if he hadn’t died so young. He was a renaissance man type. He sang and danced and acted in comedies and action movies equally well. He would have been in a Marvel movie or two I’m sure. Whole cast was great. Busey, Reeves. Good Times.

Gary Busey always brought a film to life. His screen presence was always welcomed in whatever film he starred in. Patrick Swayze was taken away from us far to early and we never got to see as much as his fans wanted to see of him in films. In my opinion about Keanu Reeves was he played the part of 'Bill & Ted ' but surfer style. Point Break was a damn top rate film.

The movie that made me fall in love with surfing as a kid, although in my country we don't have that possibility. In my 20's, went backpacking through Australia, bought a surfboard and surfed at every opportunity I got. The first time I was able to actually ride a wave, was when I did what they did in the movie, surf at night and just feel the waves. No distractions. As I child I always felt drawn to the water and surfing. My time in Australia proved me right. Miss surfing a lot.

His Momma was too, she was a choreographer. Dance school east Houston/Baytown. I was actually in LA during filming and there definitely was something calling me to Zuma beach every day for 10 weeks while i was there in the summer of 1990. It was electric. Keeanu is the coolest guy in Hollyweird. He keeps it somewhat sane. God Rest our beloved Pat Swayze.

California is a complete shithole. I was a resident for 30+ years. You couldn’t pay me any amount to move back to that state. We need a 10.0 earthquake to dump it into the sea. 🍺

I live this movie. When the top surfer mention a certain place in Victoria, Australia. I was pleased when they said about Victoria. I have been past this area near Melbourne Victoria when coming back home to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Rd. Very popular stretch of coastline. Very popular to professional surfers that come to compete in The RIP Curl Pro Surfing competition at Bell's Beach or Torquay .

One of the tops in my 500 film collection. Cant think how many times I've watched it. I call it "an intelligent action movie", not your usual crap. Excellent ! Surfing, sky diving, great chase, ends on foot. Great fight scenes. Love the waves and most of all, I love the ending in Bells Beach, Australia (actually in Oregon) . A beautiful rainy, tiny town, huge wave (in Waimea) and showing the deep friendship that had developed between the two men , that Johnny lets Bodhi go to his death out of love, because he couldnt live locked up .
