I put 2 on my previous 5th gens. After pulling the tanks and tge amount if time it took (in the garage w no life) I'll be doing sump kits on the new 22s we just bought. Time saver and more efficient.

Does the sump self center with the hole you drill? Like a beveled edge the puck recesses into? I'd be afraid to have it off center and fuel leak.

The sump itself protrudes through the tank ensuring a snug fit . Only if you drill a hole larger than 3” will it leak . For clocking the stand pipe will not allow the top plate to move it is forced down onto the sump . We did not design the the sump to bottom out on the top plate this would make zero room for the oring to be tighten if need . The plastic tanks can and will expand and contract . Hopefully this helps !
