Eric mentioned the music a lot, so I'll share a little info. A lot of the music in Skyward Sword was live orchestrated, so most of the music you hear in the game (not all, but most) was played by real people. In some songs, like Fi's theme, if you listen very closely you can hear the breaths taken by the wind players, just like Kakariko Village in BotW.

How tf would you hear the breathing of the musician? Sounds like bs
@MagicMason1000 Жыл бұрын
@@DanielMartinez-nw1pn You're a little late to this but I can explain. Typically for some live instruments (usually woodwinds), the microphones are placed fairly close to the instrument. Close enough, typically, that you can hear when the musician takes a breath so they can keep, you know, playing the instrument. The breaths are pretty quiet but they are definitely still audible. I suggest listening to the Kakariko Village (Day) theme from Breath of the Wild. If you listen closely, you can hear the flautist taking breaths while they play.

When she reached the Beetle mini boss last night she just kept dying. We watched your VOD of that fight today. A few minutes later she retried the fight. While making my lunch I suddenly hear "I beat him I beat him just like PointCrow. He knocked me down once and then I just kept hitting him and he died." She's definitely better at ACNH than Zelda but she's so proud of herself when she beats bigger fights. It wasn't that hard of a boss imo but watching you do it made the difference for her.

What I love about Skyward Sword is that it really takes on the role of an origin story well. Such as how the green tunic came to be with it merely being the color of the uniform that link Knight's academy class would graduate with. Within the context of the game, the tunic is nothing special, but it set the history for the recurring green tunic. It also tells the origin story of the master sword and its forging.

I completed the game about 5 or so years ago, but I didn't really like it because: 1. Fi, I never hated a zelda character so much 2. I played on the Wii, so I personally, didn't like the controls 3. The boss near the end I think, (very foggy memory on that part) the imprisoned, we all know that is a long and toe-y battle, and I failed _many_ times, so it was even longer for me 4. The twilight realm, also failed _many_ times for each realm location 5. I found many of the bosses pretty lame, in battle and/or looks 6. I'm dumb asf, so trying to figure out some of the things/puzzles/story by myself with no help, to get further took awhile~ 7. The items themselves 8. This one is really stupid, but his pants. I'm fine with the top half, cause it was the usual green, but then I noticed his orange baggy pants and I was bothered by it so badly. Also doesn't help I dont like a lot of baggy pants in general. Other than those things, I like it That's how I honestly feel on the game, I dont mean to be rude or to rile anyone up. It's just my opinion.

This game will always have a place in my heart. When I was little, I used to play Skyward Sword, even when I was grounded from it. I played it with my bumpa (grandfather) It was a game I used to play all the time. One day though, my parents moved out my bumpa's house, and 3 years later, he passed away. I still remember almost beating skyward sword. I had gotten to Ganon's castle, and kept dieing to a stupid plant. Although, I was a little kid, so it's all good. I miss those times. They were definitely my happiest. Maybe, I can ask my parents for Skyward Sword HD for Christmas or my birthday. That is the present that would make me the happiest person in the world. A past I can go back to, especially now that I got my dad's old SNES to work. I'm almost done with A Link to the Past at this point. Thanks Crow for giving back my childhood that I missed. In fact, the reason I started watching you play was because of BotW, not because I love BotW, but because it reminded me when I used to play Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, and A Link to the Past. My childhood is being relived, and I'm happy about it. So again, I say thanks to you.

Didn't Eric once say that he's played Skyward Sword before, but stopped when he was about two thirds through because he didn't enjoy it that much? "First time", huh? 😂
@bigpanda20003 жыл бұрын
Dude that’s what I’ve been saying too, I know for a fact he played most of this game because before he’s said it had “too much backtracking” and in order to know that you had to have had played most of it before, and I really don’t care just wish he’d be honest about it lol.
@TimeturnerJ3 жыл бұрын
@@bigpanda2000 Yeah :'D I kinda cringe every time he reacts to something in the game like he's seeing it for the first time, because I _know_ that he's seen it before. I've always thought of Eric as a pretty genuine guy, but if he's faking reactions like this... Idk. I still enjoy watching him of course, I just feel a little weird about this.
@bigpanda20003 жыл бұрын
@@TimeturnerJ yeah that’s the same way I feel about it, would’ve enjoyed it much more if he was like I played this game some when it came out but I want to give it another chance and tell us the things he likes that were improved, but like you said I like his content it just hasn’t felt right this playthough

I thought he was specifically talking about thee HD version? Multiple times throughout the video he says stuff like, "This looks great in HD"
@TimeturnerJ3 жыл бұрын
@@shadows-sweet-embrace Yeah, but then he also has huge reactions to storybeats he should definitely know already, like he's never seen them before. Idk, I just thought Eric was above faking reactions. I'm not sure how to feel about that. I know it's his job, and first reactions get more traction, but there's something to be said for sincerity, no?

Can’t wait until tomorrow (muh b-day) so i can go get enough cash to buy this game. Flying around skyloft was easily one of the most fun things i’ve ever done in a videogame, and i sure as hell am going to do it again.

So he hasn’t played skyward sword but calls himself a “Zelda Pro”
@avon_c61993 жыл бұрын
I was just about to write something similar, but rather ask...what makes someone a "pro" in a singleplayer game, if there is no competitive element to it?! EDIT: Truth be told, although I only started with ALttP in the 90s (am 32 now) and haven't played every single mainline game yet, I sometimes think of myself as a Zelda "veteran" *-lol* I suppose whether one is a "pro" or "veteran" depends on how quickly you tend to speed through a game on your first playthough. Back in the day I used to have my varrying issues with figuring out ALttP and OoT as a kid, but games like BotW or SS became rather easy. Whether that can be attributed to easier game design these days is up for debate, but I suppose once you're familiar with a variety of games in the series and their mechanics, newer games could probably be easier to figure out since you kiiiind of know how they tend to work.....so to speak.

@@Frysfan I think most people don’t understand that just because they played BotW doesn’t automatically make them a Zelda Pro, I would classify someone a Zelda Pro as a person who is easily able to get through the puzzles in each game and is able to understand the story fluently

@Gevlyn5073 жыл бұрын
Came here to type the same thing, although for the most part a "pro" is just someone who does something professionally. Still, it's a tad insulting to people who have grown up with the series on account of the fact we're all better than him at this game he's had more than enough opportunity to play.

fun fact! this is the first Zelda game to receive an orchestrated soundtrack. Previous games in the series used a digital soundtrack, as Nintendo wasn't able to get a symphony to do the music. So, for the 25th anniversary game, they got an orchestrated soundtrack.
