The devs probably didn't intend to make Subnautica into a horror game per se, but they definitely intended for parts of the game to be uncomfortable and scary. Dangerous areas tend to be dark, certain enemies will drop on you from above or sneak behind you, and leviathans are placed around the map to scare people away from the bounds of the map. But that fear was likely meant to make exploration feel more rewarding/tense rather than make the game terrifying for its own sake. You've probably noticed that in your own playthrough; every new step you take feels like a huge leap forwards, even if you don't get a concrete reward for doing so. btw, love this playthrough. Some of my favorite content from you.

​@@lisahenry20 Yeah, they definitely intended parts of the game to be creepy and horror-inducing. But the game as a whole is more about exploring than about being frightened the whole time, imo. The horror is just there as a means to make the exploration more interesting. Like there are parts of Outer Wilds that are extremely creepy but I wouldn't call that a horror game either.

Here's a little tip for searching copper : You can break some weird blue stones on the backs of Reefbacks and those give you copper 100% It's easier than breaking limestone hoping to not drop titanium

Saw a lotta people in the chat of stream talking about it around 1:47:00 But since Pcrow don't want spoilers and I know he checks comments now and then, so ima toss it under thing 'read more' (if this comment still ends up taken down tho thats fine) So baby ghosts spawn in the lost river, but once they reach maturity and are thus too large to comfortably exist down there, they leave one of the few exits. There is an exit near where Pcrow is at the time above and one of the adults spawn there, another two will spawn above the grand reef, so a total of three adults outside of the void.

Spoilers for Eric, but for anyone who wants to know about the ghost leviathan and why it was there (& where others are): Re: all the "Why is that HERE????" "It shouldn't be here!" Actually, it SHOULD be there. There are 6 Ghost Leviathans which spawn on the map (not including the ones in the Void/Crater Edge, which are considered infinite because they will just respawn when killed). Two adults in the Grand Reef, one adult in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone, and three juveniles in the Lost River

I didn't play the game for a while and so forgot the ghost spawned there, I thought it was just in the lost river and deep grand reef and that I was safe in the blood kelp. So I was gathering resources, not being very vigilant, then turned around to see it right behind me.

All those people in chat going on about how the cyclops uses more power to charge the batteries/power cells is both true and false... True because in normal circumstances the cyclops power WILL drain faster than the batteries can charge False because with the Thermal Reactor Module for the cyclops can generate more energy from heat, charging the batteries in use as well as the batteries/power cells being charged
