If you put David Suchet and his Hercule Poirot right next to each other, you will never tell it's the same person. He is a genius actor!

I admit I do chuckle at some of Poirot's eccentricities, he's just so particular & so darn cute. I just love him. In the books, characters call Poirot "that slimy little man", but none of the actors before Suchet ever filled the bill. None were "little" in height, and none were "slimy" except for Albert Finney who tried to be slimy, but Suchet even captures the aura of slimy without being slimy, making one see how some of the characters could say he is! He's not too tall. He's perfect.

my favourite quote: Hastings: "I think your pulling my leg Poirot" Poirot: "yes Hastings I am ever so gently pulling of the leg" I rewound that clip about 4 or 5 times and still laughed!

The humor is there, but not forced. Just as part of an episode. Can't recall what the episode was, but one show involved Miss Lemon being involved with a guy who was defrauding his boss. Anyway Hastings was driving after this guy and these poor geese or ducks in the street didn't know where to go. It was hilarious!
