Just saw them on the Stadium Tour with motley Crue and Def Leppard. Poison was great. They are under rated musicians and they still act like they are having the time of their lives on stage. So energetic and entertaining

June 22, 1988, Lake Charles, LA. I took my son, 12, to his first Rock concert. The floor was STANDING ROOM ONLY, GENERAL ADMISSION. We were early enough to get close, about 4 or 5 deep from the stage. POISON was opening for David Lee Roth solo. {at 12, he'd been in guitar lessons since he was 5. the first 5 years studied with a classical instructor, then changed to study hard rock and metal) Having C.C. Deville with Poison and Steve Vai playing with DLR did not go unnoticed on my kid prior the the show. I didn't have to worry about him in the crowded floor since he was already 6 foot tall @200#'s, and sporting size 12 feet. In his biker garb with Slash-like hair, [dad's was the same] looked every bit 18 or older. To my point. POISON rocked the house their entire set. I had seen some of the greats in the 70's, I was having a blast, but my son was a "natural" as rocking his ass off. He even picked up on the take a hit/drink or don't and just pass it along without any instructions from me. When the house lights cam on for the roadies to flip the stage, neither of us had a voice, our shirts were soaked and he was holding a drum stick that he'd snagged out of mid air. Well, DLR came on stage, Vai shredding it up, but [there's always a but] they couldn't maintain the "frenzied high" Poison had left the crowd in. After the 3rd song, he elbowed me at a few people leaving, and said he was getting bored and we could go to. Once outside we saw where it was hundreds leaving. At my truck, parked next to us was a carload of 5 college boys that had baled also. I already had my truck running and Poison CD turned up. We got o talking to them and after the fatty they'd fired up had made the full circle twice, I offered to cover IHOP for everyone. WHERE I SAT BACK AND WATCHED MY SON HANG WITH THESE 18-20 YEAR OLDS, TALKING MUSIC, MTV, HAIRBANDS, METAL, GUITARS, ETC. His being only 12, and the biggest at the table - except for me - was also a topic they couldn't get over. The jest is POISON ROCKED, DLR SUCKED, and I saw my kid "grow and mature" years in a matter of hours that evening. He was no longer a little boy, one proud Pops.

Brett is one of the few Hair Metal singers that still has his voice. Actually for one simple reason, because he's diabetic, he never did drugs or drank heavily. There's a funny story Brett told. He once was caught putting a needle in his arm by a paparazzi and the media immediately wrote a bullshit drug story. Turned out he was giving himself an isuline shot. 😬

Poison has always been one of my favorite live bands.. 1000% energy... And CC pushes it to 100000%...Poison always got a bad rap cause they started out w/ full on make up, big hair, glam etc. and they weren't the most skilled players, but the fans got them.. it wasn't about that, it was about the fun they bring.. They're shows take you away from reality of life and give you a nonstop party for a couple hours.

I still wear my original 80s concert tee w Poison on the front and Talk Dirty To Me, on the back. Almost always, someone will stop me and offer me money for the shirt! Not for sale...its too fun!

I was at this concert on a very hot and humid summer night in St Louis back in 2007 and it was one of their best shows I’ve seen out of the over 25 Poison concerts I’ve seen since 1988 ! The high quality of the video is because it was filmed professionally for a “ Live” dvd film called “ Poison - Live , Raw and Uncut “ so you can enjoy the complete concert too. Rock on and the next song they weee going into at the end was a banger called “ I Want Action “ 🔥😎

I saw Poison live twice. Saw them in 1990 and again in 2001. Both shows, even a decade apart, were so exciting. Energy level was off the charts. Definitely one of the best bands I’ve seen live.

Jut an FYI...this song is the opening song for every live show...except this year when I attended the Stadium Tour when they toured with Def Leppard, Morley Crue, Joan Jets & The Blackhearts. I don't know why they didn't unless it was just a timing issue.
