3s is no issue with the addition of a BEC. I have ran this setup in the past.

The flimsy steering is annoying but it saves the stock servo. Rigid steering will mean a much faster demise to that stock servo. That is why I have not replaced that yet. However running the stock gearing will also mean a faster end to the stock motors life. I have owned MANY Wraiths over the last few years and this is a must do first mod for the best life span. If you plan to upgrade right away (like I normally do) than you can skip it.

Thx bro. I guess I will try a 3s with mine then as I already use a BEC. lol.. my esc is the only thing stock still. If it burns up no biggie, I have a Tekin replacement for it.

Harley, I've been waiting forever to see the next update on this. In one of you recent videos I saw te tub of parts you have waiting to put on. I've got my castle bec coming in the mail in two days and noticed you have one to install too. Any chance you could do a video on that part first and soon? I don't know what to do! Ha thanks man.

I thought the stock esc on can handle a 2s lipo and not a 3s. and does the Poison come with cvd's or the dog bones still? thx

Dog bones and with a BEC the ESC is 3s capable.

where did you locate the bec? What I spend the most time fussing over is where electronics fit best.

I double side tape them onto the side of my ESC usually.

What does a BEC do? My truck does seem to not have enough power to turn when slightly stuck but I thought it was because there isn't enough torque from the servo. Same with the motor, when faced with a hard challenge it just stops. Does a BEC help? I have a 45t motor with 87/14 gearing and a hpi scw15 ecu. The servo is a stock axial.

I have a bec on the way, any suggestion on what battery to use? 3s but when I go to hobby shop they ask what voltage I want!

3s is the voltage. It stands for 3 Lopo cells in SERIES (that's where the S comes from). 3 cells in series is a nominal voltage of 11.1 volts.

What are the pitch of the 16t pinion? Also what is the brand?

It's 48p and I believe I used a Robinson racing.
