Bought a M and MH casting but then read up on the terrible warranty. $900 for a one year limited warranty? Ended up returning them and back to Loomis.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase. There's not a single warranty from any rod maker that covers accidental damage. Every warranty on the market covers defects in material they don't cover accidental breakage. Loomis has a limited lifetime warranty that covers the exact same thing so regardless if your G. Loomis rod is six months old if it breaks by accident they would refer you to the Xpeditor program and the rod wouldnt be covered under warranty. Its a common misconception in regards to the One year and lifetime argument. they cover the same thing and defects are present within the first uses of the rod not years down the road. something to think about when these companies try to lure you into buying a rod using the term "limited lifetime warranty"

The warranty should be better for its price; however, I’ve had one warranty repair on a rod in 30 years of fishing and it was just a guide ring that fell off.

Until Shimano matches the warranty of Loomis (like they once did) I will never spend this kind of money on a Shimano rod.

It is a 67000 yen rod in Japan😂. Shimano thinks American are suckers. It is definitely a better rod than conquest though

@@BigBass-xf5yi Shimano absolutely will back their warranty. it seems there a common misunderstanding when it comes to warranty. A TRUE defect (which is what all warranties from any company will only cover, not accidents and that includes G. Loomis) will show up within the first few uses of the rod. it will not show up six months down the road after you've caught tons of fish on it. when accidents happen they have a replacement program in the Express program where a rod can be replaced at 50% off of MSRP. So when people say "back your product" we do, and if theres an actual defect the company will gladly replace it.
