Presumably, he got the records from his other colleagues and knew they already ruled out all the things they thought it could have been. So he didn't need to test for any of that, because they already had. At that point, he knew that whatever this guy had, it was way out of a normal doctor's ballpark and he needed to see a specialist. Not necessarily the smartest one, just one who had more information than the previous doctors and knew he was way out of his depth here. Most of the time, if something is wrong with you, a normal doctor will be able to fix you just fine. They look for normal stuff, because 95% of the time, it is normal everyday stuff. The other 5% are the cases we see on the show.

@acters124 Жыл бұрын
While I believe the team should be giving house the benefit of the doubt. Instead of insisting on their own diagnoses, They should offer different ways to disprove his theory. Like completely ruling out heavy metal poisoning completely since house was adamant on it. Just run all known heavy metal tests, even the uncommon unusual metals. Completely forcing house to give up on his diagnosis instead of just puffing out their chest and proceeding with their own treatments or doing tests to find new leads with their boss annoying them the whole time. Oh well, its a show and it was written this way for the entertainment value.
@JasonJia11 Жыл бұрын
Well, House wouldn't be able to solve these cases without his team. They may not be as brilliant as him, but it's the exchange of ideas that lead them to the eventual diagnosis.
@irbennett2 ай бұрын
You may hate the fact, but what House wants is a team that argues with him. Often to begin with House is wrong. The last thing he wants is a team who agree with everything he says. That's no use to him at all.

He specifically chooses his team based on people who will look the other way about unethical behavior if the ultimate goal of saving a life can be achieved. They all know it’s illegal and each doctor has their own personal reason for why they follow along anyway. It’s part of the storyline in early seasons. They're in a hospital - you want to keep her in the room, tell her there's just been an incident, and they've had to quickly close off an area for quarantine. Route to the bathroom goes right through it. They can get her out, but it'll take a little while to arrange safely...
@stargazer7644 Жыл бұрын
Or, simply call security and tell them to keep her in another location. If she's suspected of poisoning her husband, you generally wouldn't leave her free in his room.
@Silver_Owl Жыл бұрын
@@stargazer7644 I wasn't too clear, but I think my meaning was that they'd delay her in the room under supervision until security arrives. Basically House wanted to ensure she didn't just leave, which she did, because they couldn't think of a way to stop her. Fake quarantine was what they needed. Though agreed, she needs to be supervised.
