i packed the charizard twice last year when the set first came out one in a booster bundle and the other in a upc sold one to my friend who was collecting the entire set with me for 100 glad we both have not only a charizard but the entire set we packed plenty of the set but also bought singles at our local card shop

I'm not a Pokemon expert but I know one thing: 151 is the Pinnacle of Pokemon. This set will always be one of the most popular sets in existance. Of course it cannot beat the original base set, but that's only because they are vintage. 151 is the perfect set, being able to collect all first 151 pokemon accurate on dex numbers. Almost every collector wants that in their collection. I just recently started collecting since Scarlet and Violet base, but when Pokemon 151 was announced I knew immediately that I wanted to load up on products. Don't know what prices will do, but I think they will keep rising in the years to come.

I’ve been through these phases too many times to ever buy into the hype again. The cards will reset, although to a higher price than before, but won’t maintain these crazy pumps. The cards will drop considerably with these new sets too. New eevee + legendary set, return of trainer pokemon, the return of team rocket, possible rocket’s mewtwo ex SIR, mega evolution SIRs, etc. 151 will come back to earth

Definitely will get a reprint. Japanese 151 got a huge reprint earlier this year. Pokemon is probably waiting until after the holidays for reprint to help move stock from other scarlet and violet sets that are sitting.

It's a specialty set I just see small restocks here and there but reprints not likely plus we have evee stellar coming, trainers set then team rocket set not to mention surging sparks next month and the Japanese chase card for super electric breaker the pickachu already almost 200 on eBay I can only imagine how much the English version will be ..all we can do is hope for reprint in which I hope so too ...

My friend bought a psa10 Alola Friends for $3k a couple years ago and when the japanese boom was happening it kept increasing in price astronomically. In like 2 months it went from 3k to 5 to 8 and there were several sales around 12k. I told him to sell it and he said the same thing. He loves the card and was afraid he could never get it back. Like 6 months later and it was $3k again, and cgc 10s sell for 1k. Whatever decision you make you just gotta be cool with the outcome and not kick yourself about it later.

I think it has more to do with the demand for the holiday season, people will jack their prices up since more people might be more inclined to buy this winter than in the summer but regardless that set will be one of the most in-demand sets because of the love for the original 151. Since more people are more familiar with them, they'll continue to sell out and more demand will happen when they're no longer shelved, but like with ES I'm almost certain there will be more restocks in this generation simply because the demand is there. For as much as they restock it will sell regardless so current market might not be constant.

There are alot of other scarlet and violet era products just sitting on shelves right now. My guess is pokemon will wait until after the holidays to see if they can't move the dead stock and then reprint.

@@str8nashtygaming466 yeah i agree, you can’t just keep printing 151 if it doesn’t help sell the other sets, it has to be periodic otherwise people would only buy 151 and that ruins the marketplace and competitions entirely. For competitive there are many great cards that are undervalued but since most people don’t play the TCG, it’ll sit for awhile and then start climbing after other tournaments.

How much do you value cards like the radiant charizard with the gym stamp or play! stamp which are in super limited quantity, the gym stamp may even be below 50 copies worldwide. Will it blow up as soon as people realize the card population is so low. I dont think there are any even graded yet

It's up to you how much you value a stamp on a card. Low pop cards are actually everywhere. They tend to fall more into obscurity rather than be highly sought after
