Even base set didn’t have the full 151 pokemon. 151 may be the only set to ever contain all of them. It got me back into the hobby. I mastered the set and I’m holding sealed. It will moon in a year.

It's fun to see how hyped it is right now, but it can get annoying when you're trying to buy stuff, and it's either not there, stolen, or destroyed

I made a video on this months ago explaining this in detail but never uploaded due to poor quality. There never was a planned re-print of 151.. It was a re-distribution. I went and bought a Zapdos ex Collection here in Auckland NZ yesterday and everything is dated 2023. They are not reprinted but re-distributed. I noted the Cosmo Holo pattern on the Electabuzz had changed from the HD to Pixelated variant (Which looks a lot better) This is why only a few select 151 items have re-hit shelves. Crown Zenith was the first pack I bought getting back into the scene since base -Neo gen era and 151 Japanese got me to stay in it along with CZ

Restocks/Reprints it really doesn't matter. Just get it when its cheap. Walmart has restocked the bundles several times this week and sold out within hours. The set is an outlier and will do well no matter what happens with reprints/restocks. Just watch what is happening with the Japanese equivalent. Whether you get booster bundles at $28 or $45 it wont matter in 5 years. That being said people have time, to say we are running out of time feels a bit FOMO inducing, but I get it, click bate works. Just look at how much CZ has been reprinted/restocked. We are even seeing NEW products this year for CZ. To anyone that thinks 151 wont be printed for the next year+, you haven't been here long enough. One thing I tell every new collector is to test your self control, patience and never give in to fomo, and I promise your collection will be better in every way.

I’ll be shocked if Pokémon doesn’t reprint 151!! But I’ve been so scarred by how they handled Shining Fates, I’ve been operating under the assumption the English business will always reprint their popular sets into the ground. Maybe the times have changed?

In Japan, we saw them ramp up printing of new sets first, then start reprinting older main sets, before finally reprinting Japanese 151. The priority of printing matters! But, it kind of feels to me like the English business is holding back? Either that or demand really is just that high right now and they’re printing at maximum capacity… we’ve just seen them completely overwhelm the market in the past and I still think they’re capable of it…

151 to the moon 🌝 Still time for more stock and I believe other regions have been getting reprints and 3rd parties like Amazon and now recently Costco have given the Australian market access to product for decent prices. Because Australia is so far away it may not be logistically viable or cost effective for Pokémon to send to our distro on a super popular product when it will sell out elsewhere and other giants can fulfill orders cheeper from abroad. Probably the same reason why our Pokémon center stock comes from the US also

I’m 31 years old and from Brazil. I started collecting for the first time with the 151 set. I can tell you that the issue with the reprint of the collection is also happening here in Brazil. In fact, the price of singles has nearly doubled (in some cases, tripled). All collectors are hoping for a reprint so the market can stabilize. Cheers, and congratulations on your work!

A question: do you see x-ray technology being more prevalent in valuing card packs and bundles? With that in mind, the mini tins are the only product where packs can't be scanned. I think that long term that'll make the mini tins the most desirable product. I wouldn't sleep on the mini tin cases.

This very channel has discussed how the TCG industry may need to adapt by equipping new generations of booster packs with false positives or decoys or something of the like. Second, up until recently, scanning hasn't even come close to being an issue. Who's to say the technology won't adapt and become more cheaper/prevalent? Especially with highly sought after packs? In the future, it could be that the ONLY way to be 100% certain of a truly random pack is if it's in a sealed mini tin case. By the way, all retro/vintage products were "current" at one point. I'm not saying it's cost effective now. I'm talking long term.

The actual TCG is such a small part of the overall sales poke inc makes that it is really insignificant .. They make more (by a LOT) on plushies, bed sets and keychains than they do on the TCG. I think the era of repints is basically over.

Just passed through north Dakota and Winnipeg and the walmarts there off the highway in rural areas are FULLY stocked with 151 and more. Like I've never seen shelves at Walmart stocked like that stocked.

I hope they reprint so that all the people that got back into pokémon because of the 151, like me, have a chance at getting the master set without going bankrupt. Lets not forget that having fun with collecting should be the main focus instead of all the people whining about the value slightly declining ... as if it wouldn't go up again shortly after.. 🙄 But I have a very different perspective anyway. I wonder if going forward Pokémon is going to do these smaller reprints instead of a full fledged proper reprint. They added more stock of the booster bundles to Walmart which got eaten up in 8 hours and MJ Holdings had some selling through Walmart which got eaten up in 2 days. Target got the poster collections and they got eaten up in a day. Pokémon Center has the mini tins and I am sure they might not last the weekend. Waiting to see what Amazon gets. Checking daily.

Its too expensive for me to justify paying it so I'll have to let it go....but that's also the thing, sure prices might go up but you might not be guaranteed a sale. I hope they don't reprint. I have 2 sealed master cases of 151 booster bundles. Not the small 10 pack bundle but 60 bundles in each master case for a total of 120 booster bundle boxes. If these go up they will be worth a ton. Not a lot of master cases out there. Right now one master case costs over 3500 each. I only paid 1400 for each master case. I pre ordered these more than 2 months in advance. Only reason I could get them. That's where i sit on this reprint anyway.

Even with a reprint 151 will still hold its value. Yeah sure it’ll drop maybe a little bit, but significantly? Hell no, then it’ll go right back up. A 151 reprint would just be a great opportunity to get our hands on more sealed product.
