I don't know why the later games don't seem to have this. X and Y got it a little, but after that it just seems.. ineffectual. All the music in the games is too smooth, most if not all of it uses the same instruments and it gets super boring.

When I saw the Rayquaza coming out of the sky cut scene for the very first time I remember resetting the game over and over just to see it so many times cause it was so Amazing and Badass. I was six when I first played my first Pokémon game, that being platinum. I’m seventeen now and have nothing but good memories for the game. Giratina had some of the most ambitious animation for its time imo. Though I remember looking at the opening loop for soul silver of lugia swimming and thinking it was revolutionary lol. It blew my mind for what pokemon games could look like and just set the stage for the rest of the story.
