In my opinion, I think the black and white games were some of the better ones. I liked the backstory and the legendaries were done well. Team Plasma was and still is my favorite team.

@@TheBBCSlurpee I mean, it introduced the most competetive mechanics out of any generation. Hidden abilities, Regenerator and new pivot options in the form of u-turn/volt switch. Even debuted triple battles (which never became a trend for some reason) and even the prime method of shiny hunting, horde battles. Legit the only reason it wasn't well received was lack of proper advertising.

Everyone talks about Cynthia being the hardest opponent, but I didn't have such a hard time against her. Sure I came prepared, and did my research, but it was still a grueling battle. Beat her on my 2nd try. But THESE guys. Jesus Christ. Shauntal is hard if you don't come prepared. Caitlyn is tough anyway you face her. Grimsley is probably the easiest for me to beat but I always forget that Liepard has Limber. And Marshal kept spamming and hitting Stone Edge on my Unfezant. Fuck these guys.

Any of the champions and elite four are a cakewalk if you do your research and come prepared. If you don't, she is easily still the hardest. I didn't go prepared for white and roflstomped shauntal, caitlyn, and grimsley all with a zweilous using only crunch (okay fine, I used dragon rush or something on grimsley). Only Marshal provided any challenge, but I kept a shiny unfezant because it was one of the first pokemon I ran into and it was like *fate* so that was him. Iris was a joke, the one from kalos isn't even notable enough for me to remember her name, and professor kukui only gave me any trouble because I forgot to buy supplies before going in.

The first game I played was W2. My dad got it for me and my brother. We loved the music. But playing X afterwards just made the music fell sour and kinda more empty. This game set the bar of music, and the difficulty of the champion and e4. Steamrolling through Moon and Alpha Sapphire just killed the feeling of accomplishing something.
