NO! Do not lock the extra mythicals to the post game! It’s a nice option to use them on a standard playthrough rather than just dex fodder you never actually use because you already have your team. Heck solely because they’re here, I want to try a psychic mono run with them. It’s fine if you don’t want to use them, but it’s a nice option for others.

Surprised you didn’t pull it off because water is one of the best types for the gen 4 elite four. The Elite four is no joke in this game though with all the competitive items, hidden abilities, optimal natures, and solid movesets.

​@@creativecookbook ultra sun is actually one of the hardest Pokémon games so just play that instead of regular sun. I have a couple of recommendations which I do to make games harder and more fun. 1. Set no items. I always at least do this no matter what game I am playing. You can use held items just no stuff like potions and X accuracy 2. Monotype (with set no items) 3. Hardcore nuzlocke (I find it to be more fun not looking up opponents team) Just look up stuff like items and gift pokemon but nothing on the opponents. Better on emulators so you can get unlimited rare candies because grinding is boring.

@chaoticmeatball may it's a important information for your future challenges: it's possible to obtain the national dex before the post game. the only way to do that is to have a trade partner (or second switch & the other edition) and do what you must do to complete the sinnoh-dex. keep the great work. big fan of your content! :)

Cynthia as a full on competitive team and her Garchomp isnt her only scary pokemon, that marvel scale milotic with a flame orb is so fucking tanky and also knows recover, sadly that unless you poison it first turn it becomes a monster tha eats hits from both physical and special moves.

And as for the Amie buffs, kinda negged by the movesets and better AI for most of the game. For the Legdendaries... again, that was possible ever since trading has been a thing so *shrug*

replaying this I was actually surprised how many double battles and evil team battles that gen had :D also the game was HARD. at least for me, underestimating top 4 and especially the champ...(especially with the champ fight) 3SHAKEFLEEING WAS A MISTAKE. Should never have happened Also playing with EXP Share, the last gen to top4 level difference actually fits well^^ Also I didnt even realize you never had battle animations on :D the flame orb has a positive effect, huh? I was wondering why one would burn their pkmn. it helped me a lot though. All in for a second round^^

6:36 Grabs Jirachi & Mew then asks “Why the heck are these so early?” I can answer: 1.) Mew requires you actually have a Let’s Play save file (with the Mii file of yours you play on) and Jirachi require a Sword or Shield save file on your Mii file. Otherwise you can’t get them, in short they aren’t “free” as they require you buy and play two of their other games. So why not? 2.) It’s a game and made with small children in mind- not adults. And people do like at times to play a play through with FUN Pokemon like Mew or Jirachi, Pokemon who have always been outside this game as Event Only Pokemon. And again a game, meant for fun.. Why do you feel when you did this video did you have the need to rain on other’s parade? You DON’T have to take them early game or at all… None of us do, and not everyone will buy a Let’s Play game and/ or Sword or Shield, so not everyone will be allowed both. I won’t pick up Let’s Play, not even for a Mew. And btw though a challenge is fun; because these are generally event only and we next to never get a chance to have a lvl5 mew and/ or Jirachi WITH OUR ID # (to avoid loyalty penalties) early game; people like even me, enjoy being able to have a game with such a legend to enjoy from early to end game. Besides: 3.) the Main goal of Pokémon games is *to catch them all* ; the journey or story in the game is a side thing. Giving such legends early game doesn’t effect the challenge of filling your pokedex. “To catch them is my real test” is the theme of the show and naturally of the game. You can play through without any legends, doesn’t mean it’s going to be any harder. Depends HOW you play and if along with how you challenge yourself. *You question answered* Btw.. Again you CHOSE to take them early game.. Why didn’t you just opt to wait til Post Game to grab them, if you thought you shouldn’t get them til then? Did someone have a gun to your head making you take them asap? I just fail to see the issue. Particularly since, being event only til these remakes, they have and are Post Game Pokemon pretty much every other time… For once we can choose to in a Mii file have a mew and/ or Jirachi to enjoy from early to end game and you have to take issue with a change probably ALL the little kids who play have unanimously all love(d)! The age group they target with these games! This isn’t an adult game; made for kids, we just find ways to enjoy it too, is all.
