@@DrSkull-hc8dx looked it up and despite the name. Mudkips, design, might be based off of Mudpuppies or the axolotl. Which are part of the salamander family. (Yes sometimes gotta question whoever is in charge of naming) But you're right about blaziken being based off of the Shamo chicken

Funny how the Pidgey line is based on a "Pigeon." The picture of that bird was identical to Pidgey, however that is a Sparrow. I'm no bird expert but I do know the difference between a Pigeon and a Sparrow. I also know the Sparrow's call. Which everyone has heard, it's that chirp that sounds like the Nelson laugh

You got a lot of these wrong. 1. Corviknight is a Raven not a crow. (He's literally called the Raven Pokemon.) 2. Blaziken's line is based on cockfighting rosters. 3. Unfezant is a Pheasant. 4. Fletchling & Fletchinder r based on France's Fletching Bird. Really you just gonna call all those Pokemon simply bird. Some of them r based on mythical creatures. 5. Pidgey's line r technically based on pigeons. 6. Spearow & Fearow r based on Spearows technically. 7. Zapdose is based on a Thunderbird. 8. Articuno is based on Roc the giant sea eagle 9. Moltres is based on the Phoenix. 10. Natu & Xatu r technically birds, but r more based on Native American Totems. 11. Ho-Oh is based of of a Phoenix & the Fenghuang. 12. Lugia is based on Ryūjin the sea dragon goddess. 13. Yveltal is based on Hræsvelgr (which is an equal by the way.) 14. Spritzee is based on a Plague Doctor. 15. Huntail is based on a Viperfish. 16. No, it's a sparrow with bird of prey juvenile traits as well. Well, I was always thinking it looked that rather actual real life pigeon, it some function a some, tho, especially in the anime,where there were no other pigeon-like pokemon in that time, untill the actual shaped and colored pigeon pokemon and its 1. evolved form in 5th gen. And, oh totally agree with the overall Blaziken design, not a regular bird, at least, got some very few chicken traits , almost invisible or vague to find, tho, but it rather got way more an overall mythical old Egyptian eagle look,so for your info pokemon can actually have combined look, you see, where the other might a bit lesser than other thing that is also based off, like the typical chicken look Torchic got obviously more of, and partially Combusken possess ..lol😅😏✌️💎
