Hellfire Heroes I was taking a gym a bit ago and a group of mystics and instincts kept throwing random shite in while I was going through the loads to get to it, my buddies phone wasn't good enough to beat them, so I just kept pounding on it. Eventually I heard them laughing about how trolly they were being and how upset I must be, but really... Free exp. Like each win is worth a pokemon capture when attacking a gym... Which is exactly what I said "Nah mates, keep it up, free exp!" They laughed halfheartedly, and, after another couple rounds of whack-a-dumbs, both groups walked off bored. Valor now controls that gym... Least last I checked my Vaporizer (Vaporeon) was still in it.

It seems to me that the public view of various teams goes like this, team mystic is the best as seen by themselves but hated by instinct, team instinct is hated by everybody but still insists they are not only the best but that team mystic is the worst, and team valor is just sort of there. Nobody really ever mentions them except for when talking about all the teams as a whole. You know the hats sort of fit into their chosen teams pretty well.

I think the team thing was a bit poorly designed. In every game with the legendary birds, everyone always tries to trade their zapdos and moltres for an articuno, because that is the crowd favourite. And pokemon is a game about analysing, so all simple people who doesn't care about being different will choose Mystic. I don't get Instinct, because Mystic has analysing, which is something good, Valor has power which is also good, but doing things because you feel like it? Doing things your stomach tells you? Act before think? Not that good. That's why I chose Valor (Yes, I used a lot of time on choosing a team)
