Countryside UK here, our entire town's player base has organised with our neighbouring towns community to travel across tomorrow and attempt a couple of these but we doubt we have the numbers. The idea that this will be a monthly or weekly trip is unrealistic, like raid hour out here in the sticks, it'll become another largely unused game mechanic sadly.

We struggle to win with 40 people here in Munich and out of 3 for the whole day only 1 stayed in the ball for me. I hit like 8/10 excellents with golden razz every time. It's crazy and many people did not enjoy it at all.

20 is enough when everyone has at least lvl35 and the right counters. but you need to communicate then. 2 per group need to heal and shield only, the others with lvl 3 attack can bash attack.

The gigantamax too hard for most people, too restrictive for most people (1/day unless you buy particles or 2 if you save particles from a previous day), and the cost to make Pokemon useable for them is also ridiculous with around 200 candies and 50 rare candies to unlock/max out the extra moves, and another 100+ candies and 50 rare to max out the damage attack (500-ish and 150-ish to max one Pokemon). On top of all of that, you can only use them in max battles. So unless they have unique Pokemon released in them, or they expand their use to at least normal raids, they are not worth the effort, in my opinion. If you could unlock max abilities on your existing Pokemon, that would’ve even been better. Then those who don’t save or have a bunch of extra candies to both level up moves and evolve the starters could’ve had a better chance, using existing leveled up Pokemon and just having to unlock the moves.

Wait. It gets worse 🥶. My friends and i tried to calculate the catch rate of the gmax raids. Out of the 12 we completed, we each caught about 2 or 3. Across having 10 balls per encounter; we calculated (using expected value) that you have about a 5% chance to catch these bad boys (per ball) IF YOU GOLDEN RAZZ AND EXCELLENT! How insane is that? 5% catch is the BEST you can do….. What a joke. If you golden razz and excellent for all of your 10 throws there is a 40.12% chance u can catch the thing (assuming its a 10/10/10 iv floor) What a bummer man. I think we could all write like a 5page essay describing the numerous reasons this update was lazy, greedy, unfair, unfun, uninspired, ect, ect…. 😂

Ive come to realize i couldn't care less about the gmax pokemon until they make them significantly easier. The only special thing about them can only be used in 1 area of the game being max battles which ive only done solo so far. They really fumbled the bag on gmax pokemon.

The catch rate after beating them is worst part you lose the 800 energy easy excellent throw so get 10 in a row but still fail to catch them lucky i was able to catch the good cp ones but it does not tell you the cp of the raid boss when you beat the raid like other raids so you don't know if spending 200 coins on extra balls is worth it i spend extra 200 coins 9 times got not shiny and only bad cps from it so does not boost what you get.

I’ve read so many Reddit posts from groups of 30-40 people saying GMAX raids are literally impossible and only taking the boss down to half HP In short the number of trainers you have won’t matter if all their Dynamax pokemon and Gigantamax pokemon are trash and super weak, make sure to level up and evolve your Dynamax and gmax pokemon and power up max spirit, max guard, and the max attack for that pokemon, I’m not trying it, until Niantic somehow fixes it and makes it easy for people like me living in rural areas to do it

People just go inside the raid with wrong counters, just starters in the first form and no evolutions etc. and then complain. they complain because there is just no good example of what we could expect, Only people that can complain are rural people who don't have people to raid with

Pretty much the only people that can do them are people who are either lucky enough to live near places that have absolute TONS of players or if you spend an unrealistic amount of money on pokemon go and just drive far somewhere or fly to another country.

For a record, I beat it with total 14 accounts with my friends. Evolve, power up, and level up max move. You cant get them if you didn't evolve/pu/level up. So bear with it, and start farming gigantamax

I diden't have that big of an issue with the GF-max battles since I went to a big city with a Campfire meeting of 905ppl and then even more ppl araved so I think we where a total of maybe 130 and we had no issues what so ever to take down G-maxes (I did 4 of them myself catched 3 lost the 4th one bc ran out of battery)

Fun fact, best Dynamax counter for Falinks is Gengar, I managed to Beat it with 2 Gengar and a Charizard, using the Weaker Gengar and the Charizard as basically meat shields so the stronger Gengar could defeat it. Solo it took about 6 minutes.

Gigantamax raid just introduced after Pokemon Festival 2024 so most probably Pokemon Festival 2025 Gigantamax raid will be part of raid Pokemon. In my prediction, most possible Gigantamax raid during Pokemon festival 2025 will be Gigantamax Urshifu and Gigantamax Melmetal. This is day 1 Pokemon festival 2025 Gigantamax raid Pokemon. These two Gigantamax raid remain tier 6 and cost 800 max particle for one entry. When day 2 Pokemon festival Gigantamax raid Pokemon will be, oh! can not said Gigantamax but Eternamax Eternatus raid. This can be a 10 tier raid Pokemon! Unlimited number of players join the Eternamax raid before the end of 2 minutes countdown timer, count from first player joined in. It is really difficult to actually beat the g-max raids, even in well populated areas, let alone suburban, but being lucky enough with 30+ raiders, you can do it. I was lucky enough to get a shiny charizard g-max on my second raid. Your best shot is to do some travelling (a bit unconventional for pg)

Those times suck so bad. 6pm to 7pm is dinner/breakfast time. Why wouldn't they do it between 4pm-5pm or 5pm-6pm or something? I hate it. I'm also so sad that I can never do those 5* raids because I don't have any friends nearby that play. I can't even do 3* raids :( I'm missing out so much, it sucks. When Niantic said they were going to be adding lots of features to compensate for more expensive raid passes i was like okay maybe its going to be a nice trade off that will get me outside. After the release of gigantamax pokemon i can fully say the trade off was not worth it. i have only done 10 dynamax raids at most, falinks was near impossible to even duo, beldum drove me insane trying to solo, and it just wasnt fun either way. spending HOURS griding stardust, candies, and pokemon to get their regular versions to lvl 50, now having to do it all again for a dynamax charizard, then do it AGAIN for a gigantamax, this is all just terrible. it sucks when youre hype for new additions to the game, and then those new additions end up being next to useless and only take away from the experience. i understand pokemon is about collecting as well. im actually halfway thru my pokedex for gen 3 games, but collecting these doesnt even feel like a fun or worthwhile grind. it is a clear cash grab and nothing more. this new addition might as well not be added at all for me. the only thing that has changed is sometimes i need to click on the "new pink pokestop" as i call it so i can complete the occasional research for claiming max points. thats all this has been for me. very dissapointing that this is how they chose to add dyna/gigantamaxing when they already did it right the first time for mega evolutions. mystic you HAVE to say something about this because it is really bullshit. speak out as one of the largest pogo creators let your connections know they need to change how this works because it is next to useless at this point.

According to gamepress Rillaboom and Cindarace are better Grass and fire Dynamax pokemon than Charizard and Venusaur. Their max ability does more damage. Charizard is only the best flying type.

I loved elite raids, because they would bring our deeply introverted community out into the open. Now they seem to have been replaced by gigantamax battles. But instead of a handful of elite raids you can plan for just on campfire, you have a hundred battles changing every hour and nobody meets anybody unless you're coordinating using your own private communication. And instead of maybe 20, you need maybe 40 people. That ain't happening. Ever. Complete crap.
