Here’s a headcanon: Whenever it’s Larry’s birthday, all the gym leaders, Elite Four of Paldea (along with Nemona and the protagonist) and even his Pokémon work together to get his work for the day done the best they can, sometimes even in front of him (he acts like doesn’t notice them while still working due to Geeta). But due to their efforts, he gets to go home early so they all treat him to a party, nothing crazy though as they realised he wouldn’t really care about it if it wasn’t normal enough, so it’s just like, they all cook something and have a nice meal together and hang out. It’s normal enough for Larry, and it makes him happy and grateful.

A headcannon I came up with is this: The protagonist in the Pokémon games are under constant stress. They are a 10 year old leaving their house with only a starter to keep them company, and it gets worse when they have to stop a world ending threat. This also explains why you black out when you run out of Pokémon. The stress is so bad that a minor inconvenience is enough to make you snap and black out, and you are taken to the hospital, or Pokémon center, where you get your Pokémon healed and reassured that every thing is fine.

Actually, some of the games say that the protagonists are older than ten (For example: Red being 11 in the game's manual and the Legends Arceus protagonists looking 15) but I still completely agree with you.

I have a funny headcanon: The reason why Mina doesn't have a trial in Sun and Moon is because she didn't know what to do in the trial and began to procrastrinate, but one day when she was traveling for inspiration, she found a very big ribombee and decides to name it as the totem pokemon, and the buffs aren't natural, Mina throws X-Items and the player doesn't notice. Edit: I thought of another headcanon: The reason why Getsis' pokemons have the least amount of friendship is because he gave them Toxic Orbs to faint them and lower their friendship to the lowest and because walking gives friendship to a pokemon, he carries around a PC and when he needs to fight he opens the PC and throws them into the battle.

Mega Evolution depends on friendship for pain tolerance. The more a Pokémon loves/trusts their trainer, the less pain they go through. It’s possible to mega evolve any Pokémon you randomly find/don’t know, it’s just frowned upon.

Some headcanons that I have 1. The champion rank exists through each region. This could explain why Steven and Wallace are champions. The main champion you think of for the region is likely the top champion. 2. The hisui pokeballs don't *truly* catch the pokemon, but they choose to stay with you.

I always viewed the title of Champion like how President works in the US: Once you have become a Champion, even if you are no longer the current/active Champion, you still have that title. So during Black/White 2, when Iris is the current Champion, people still refer to Alder as "Champion Alder" and such.

One head canon for the Tao dragons is that shortly after their separation, reshiram and zekrom were shocked to their predicament, and tried to bring themselves back together in any shape or form, but as time went on and the original brothers passed, they started to see each other as not two fractured halves but newly formed brothers who were able to pursue their own destinies, even hugged after the battle with N. Unfortunately Kyrum didn’t think this way and instead forced the two other dragons back together, eventually managing to fuse with one of them, which left them traumatized by kyrum’s chaotic power, and soon drove Kyrum away into the giant’s chasm, eventually teaming up with Ghestis to get their revenge.

The Gloria Scottish thing stems from a meme in early gen 8 where people drew art of Gloria talking in a rowdy, vulgar Scottish accent. Some elements of her design were inspired by Scottish attire. Kieran refuses to use any way of telling the time other than the sun. Sometimes, he spends entire nights thinking of battle strategies and testing them, looks at the sun rising , and thinks, "Hm... I'll just sleep tonight instead." Occasionally, this happens consecutively, and he doesn't sleep for over a week. He has become so used to this happening that it feels strange to him when he's not sleep deprived. This would also happen to Nemona if she didn't set alarms to stop battling.

My headcanons are; -Whenever a region starts an elite four and league or whatever, all champions come over to check it out and become safety inspectors to make sure it's up to league code like they're OSHA. Maybe they battle them all to see how strong they are, -Blue constantly tries to get Red to join any winter sport events because he's great at all of them due to his time in the mountains. -Grass pokemon are popular when it comes to perfume and selfcare companies, along with fairy types, due to their good smells, which makes the products popular. -Wally loves to watch competitive pokemon and competitions with battling which is how he ended up making his team, he just pulls out a comedically long list of all the meta pokemon in battling at that time whenever someone asks how he made the team he has at a time. -To expand on the extinct pokemon headcanon: There's pokemon sanctuaries for the opposite version exclusions so they don't go extinct! -Nemona and Hau would be friends. I just think they would hang out and eat sandwiches and malasadas together while having battles for fun!

I headcanon that the hall of fame is like a record of "potential future champions" so that if the current one retires they can go through and interview the people registered for a new champion. which is why even after beating the champion in most games they're still champion and you're not.

My headcanon of the Tera Ghost Milotic, from Kitakami. There once was a Feebas who hated it’s appearance, wishing to be beautiful. While swimming, it found pieces of Terastal Shards on the bottom floor of Kitakami Wilds’s river. Enamored by it’s beauty, the Feebas searched frantically to know where they all originated from, until it found them flowing down a nearby waterfall on top of Oni Mountain. With the determination to become beautiful, Feebas trekked the gruesome waterfall to reach the top of the mountain. During the journey it got attacked by a Mandibuzz, and was taken out of the river and towards its nest, fortunately it struggled out of it's talons and was set free, but at the cost of sustaining heavy injuries from the attack and the high altitude. Feebas landed onto the water, but was too weak to continue. Before succumbing to it's injuries, Feebas looked towards a glistening light emanating in front of it. It was the Terastal Crystals in the Crystal Pool. Feebas finally made it to the top, but was too weak to move towards it. In it's final moment, Feebas had only one thing on it's mind, "Finally, I can become beautiful." And thus, it was Reborn as a Milotic.

Some of the cool headcanons i have 1 - the reason why Kyurem-Black can't learn ice punch is because Kyurem just got used to having really small arms and doesn't even try to punch 2 - Meowscarada's favorite song is "Last Surprise" from Persona 5 3 - Grimsley had a pet Purrloin, but the Pokemon just kept sleeping on his lap, which made him lose multiple days of work because he "didn't want to interrupt the little fella's sleep" on his own words. He had no choice but to evolve it and begin using him in battle

here are my headcanons! - blaine used to be the host of a popular game show - penny started an anime club at the academy but rarely goes, if ever - the bb league elite four members are all experts in a certain class; crispin is cooking, lacey is some sort of sewing/fashion/design, amarys is engineering. idk if drayton has one though - leon is the descendent of galarian royalty, and the reason why he is so powerful and egotistical is because he wants to be like them - the reason galar and paldea don't have the national dex is because those regions think some pokemon are invasive species

I like to HC that materials made from Pokémon (so like their fur, scales, skin, etc) have properties of the Pokémon they come from. So like if you get fur from a fire type and turn it into yarn, it actually has heat generating properties to keep you warm, while stuff from ice types will keep you cool.

Florian (gen 9 male protag) gave Nemona an Applin for the BB League club trade, but she didn’t understand what it meant. 3. Penny convinced and recorded Juliana to do the Akira slide with her Miraidon and Florian and Koraidon to reenact Hiccup touching Toothless from HTTYD 4. Rei remembered his past life as Lucas in Sinnoh, but chose to stay in Hissui. 5. Penny is the reason why Perrin got the photos of the paradox beasts and swords. 6. Dendra and Tulip are childhood friends who dated, broke up on bad terms, but eventually rekindled their friendship. 7. Whenever Penny got a new Eevee, she would do the Lion King pose with music playing from her phone

Here's a couple headcanons: 1) Florian and Juliana (the player characters) really REALLY like Giacomo's music.... to the point that when starting to battle against Penny, they DEMANDED that whatever music he made for her MUST start playing for the battle, saying "I don't care if it makes the speakers explode from to much awesomeness, we are playing it for the battle music!"..... rather or not the speakers actually explode is optional. 2) Penny has heard of the Let's Go Partner Eevee... and the Eeveenium Z crystal.... and has a desire to acquire both (alongside just about every other piece of Eevee merch she can find)... her main issue is finding a way to do so legally.... as she doesn't want to risk her Illegal methods being discovered and thus jeopardizing her ability to keep the Z-move Partner Eevee combo.

The reason why Eevee can evolve with the Leaf Stone and Ice Stone starting from gen 8 is because the Leaf Stones you obtain are actually pieces of Moss Rock, and the Ice Stones are actually pieces of Ice Rock. Similarly, the reason why Magneton, Nosepass, and Charjabug can now evolve with the Thunder Stone is because they were being mined from special magnetic fields. The Thunder Stones from gens 1-7 were coming from non-magnetic sources.

Headcanon I picked up: Most, if not all, of the "Food like" pokemon are either ambush predators or parasites, as the usual reason an animal imitates food is either ambush tactics or because it needs to be consumed for it's life cycle. So either Vanilluxe, Alcremie, and that sort are ambush predators, or they are parasites waiting to be eaten. I prefer the latter because it's just so crazy to think they intend to be eaten.

One headcanon that I have is that Hilbert/Hilda & Nate/Rosa do join Ash on his Unova journey in the B/W anime, in order: Hilbert shows up during the tournament arcs (Like Stephan and Georgia) and usually the one that gets along with Ash, both guys talking about Pokemon and battle strategies non-stop. In battle, he's got a similar battle style to Ash. But is always the one tournament arc character to get beaten first in the top 16. Hilda meets Ash when both show up at Prof. Juniper's lab and decides to go with Ash, as she's a new trainer and has heard of his travels (Sort of a repeat of the little thing that happened with Ash & May in Hoenn). But she leaves the group when the rest (Ash, Iris, and Cilan) board the ship going through the Decalore Islands so she can focus more on becoming a Pokemon Musical super star. Nate is the character that replaces Cameron (All my homies hate Cameron) in the Unova League, he's a serious battler that wishes to see & fight Alder again after meeting him as a kid many years ago. He has same team as Cameron (Sammurott, Riolu/Lucario, Hydreigon, Therothorn, Swanna), plus a sixth member in the form of Ariados. And last, but not least, Rosa joins the group during the Decalore Islands arc and also knows of Ash through all the things he's done throughout Unova and even in the past, referencing some of the plots of previous movies. While she's a good battler, it comes nowhere close to Ash and his on the fly thinking. After meeting Alexa and getting to Kanto, her mind is racing. She, like Ash, is fascinated with going to Kalos and explore this new region with him. So she joins Ash & Alexa in going to Kalos and at the start of X/Y, she become a core part of the Kalos companion troop.

Here’s a few darker ones: Lusamine absolutely killed those Pokémon, freezing them while they were still alive. She probably watched the entire thing too. The International Police are not actually that well known, and stay more in the shadows, hence why you mostly only meet the, after you become champion. The Pokémon Rangers usually act as police between region, cracking down on regular crime while the International Police focuses on large organized crime syndicates, like Team Rocket, and active terrorists, like Team Galactic and Flare. The reason you can still meet Colress in future games is because he was given a bail by the government to work for them. Even though he worked for an active terrorist organization and froze an entire city, the government keeps him on to work for their, less public projects. Similar to how the US would take in captured German scientists and have them work for NASA and their nuclear programs after WW2.

A couple (A LOT) of scattered headcannons for the SV crew (I think about them too much) I'm so sorry -Penny is nearsighted and is blind as a noibat without her glasses, and she loves horror games. She regrets staying up late watching them, however. -Nemona cannot cook. Anything besides a sandwich ends up as an inedible mess. She usually falls asleep outside, and nobody at the academy bats an eye anymore. -Arven is slowly reaching his limit of watching his other friends fail at cooking and is begging them to enroll in Home Ec class. -Giacomo is slightly jealous of Nemona for taking over as Student council president, but he's gotten over it mostly. He's great at making music but a pretty awful singer. -Mela's nails were painted by Atticus. Her face is usually smudged by paint and charcoal after she gets out of art club. She hates water, especially rain. -Atticus often falls asleep in trees, and prefers being off the ground. He will easily scare literally anyone because he walks completely silently. -Ortega has played piano for the background of some of Giacomo's unreleased tracks but refuses to admit it was him. He'll hit people in the shins with his cane at any time. -Eri regularly sends her friends (usually Mela and Ortega) to "air jail" by holding them off the ground when they argue too much. She can effortlessly stay on top of a moving Starmobile when literally anyone else would have been tossed off.

A headcannon I have for my personal AU is that when Volo asked Rei and Akari to meet in the coronet highlands, Akari refused to go. She told Rei that she would always get a weird feeling around him, but Rei ignores her warning and goes anyway. This leads to Rei being knocked out by Volo's garchomp and being held hostage till Akari comes to save him. After she beats Volo's team, he summons garatina, who smacks Akari with its wing, launching her into a nearby Pillar and knocking her out. Luckily while she was fighting Volo, her pokemon were taking turns either fighting or helping Rei. Although he was terrified, Rei summons all his courage and is able to stop Volo and save hisui.

I am NOT the first person to come up with this theory but: N is neurodivergent. Ghetsis’s, um... "parenting" worsened the more problematic symptoms of whatever disorder he had tho. N is one of those people who was born a lefty but they grew up in a really conservative Christian area where that was frowned upon and were forced to write with their right hand, so they're just ambidextrous now. In every fic I have putting Pokemon characters in a world like ours, Ghetsis is always some kind of televangelist that operates a cult out of his mansion, and he's usually pretty wealthy and famous from all the proselyting appearances he does on TV and stuff. Ghetsis demanded his wife (N's mom) leave him and go NC, threatening to hurt N if she didn't and filing a restraining order for good measure. He then lied to N about her walking out on them because of N's gift. I can definitely see Ghetsis holding this over N's head at least once when it came to his friendship with Hilbert/Hilda, Cheren, and Bianca ("Your own mother couldn't accept you. What makes you think they will?")

Here are a few; 1) Mewtwo would have a lot of respect for Ogerpon if they ever met her, as Ogerpon was able to overcome 4 Pokemon that she has a type disadvantage to and managed to straight-up kill 3 of them. However, they're even more impressed that despite being hated by humans for so long, Ogerpon has never turned into the hateful Pokemon that they were forced to become. 2) Pecharunt was the cause of Kieran going off the deep end in the DLC. It infected him a bit with its powers while he was hurt in front of the convenience store and gave him some of its power to bring back the Loyal Three. When that didn't work, it drove Kieran to want to be the best at all costs, molding the weaker Trainer into a force to be reckoned with to use to get its revenge on Ogerpon and the trainer that beat the Loyal Three. However, that dark energy was driven out of him due to distance from Pecharunt and the overwhelming power of Terapagos going out of control and Terastal energy purifying him, hence why he began to come back to his senses as he got closer and closer to Terapagos. 3) Related to the last one, Kieran's choice to dye his hair and put it up like that was NOT his choice, but was manipulated to do so by Pecharunt. However, he keeps it like that because he doesn't know how to fix it, and Carmine thought that perhaps continuing to look the part would help him keep his confidence, so she encourages him to keep his hair like that.

Adding on to the Minior headcanons, my headcanon is that Minior is the cause of Mega Evolution, at least for Rayquaza. This is because Rayquaza uses meteorites to mega evolve, and Minior is described as Rayquaza's diet. Also, another headcanon is that Minior is in the terrarium because it is an endangered species. I always liked the head canon that Professor Sycamore went and secretly rescued Lysandre after the events of XYZ, and the reason we don’t see Lysandre any time afterwards is because he’s in a coma or stuck in the hospital the whole time. Also, I head canon the reason why Ash never really interacted with any of the Champions he knew during the Master’s Eight was because they were genuinely all so shocked to see him there that they had no idea what to say to him, and Ash was such a freaking idiot that he didn’t even realise that he knew these people 😭

Here's my head canons: Lysandre, Augustine (Professor Sycamore) and Diantha were all childhood friends and rivals. As late teens, they entered the league together, and eventually it came down to Gyarados Vs Gardevoir, with the latter narrowly winning. However, due to how well they did, Lysandre and Augustine were inspired by their success, and went to university together. This explains why Lysandre knows them both, and why he's so strong. Sycamore (in the anime) is Alain's dad, but they have had a very dysfunctional relationship ever since Alain's mum died when he was young. Since that day, he was always obsessed with strength, knowing that his mother succumbed to an illness and he couldn't do anything. Grant and Viola are secretly dating, but because of their antics, they're too embarrassed to tell Alexa.

I got a few funny headcanons, namely about characters in the recent games. 1: Milo has regular arm wrestling matches with bea’s machamp. (Their record is 0 for milo, 35 for machamp. Yes they’ve had 35 matches) 2: Brassius’s sunfloras (from the challenge) sometimes accidentally get pollen over his paintings. 3: Kofu sometimes accidentally cooks with expired ingredients. 4: Peony is a Gordon Ramsay level cook. And he can also bake some REALLY good pancakes. 5: Leon gets lost because he’s trying to find either A: a new Pokémon to catch or B: a new hat store he hasn’t been to. 6: Arven tried to teach Nemona how to cook, but she constantly ended up burning the food. Eventually, the player character taught Nemona how to make chicken nuggets.

I love the idea of machamp being the one that loses and using his innate hatred of losing as a way to constantly push himself (Bea is constantly enabling so that she can get stronger too) 3.But Kofu's food is so good that people still eat it but afterwards end up with terrible cases of salmonella which Kofu blames on himself 5. Just something else to add on, Nemona can only make Dino nuggies but burned everything else to an insane degree that arven is genuinely concerned that the player could teach nemona how to cook something.
