Me and my friend came up with a headcannon during our rewatch of the Pokémon anime: all filler episodes are the same and therefore arent cannon to the plot. they literally never reference filler episodes in the actual plot, but reference them in other filler episodes. oh ye my other headcannon is that smoliv has very weak self confidence which is why it always looks like its in a sort of paranoia

I have a headcannon similar to the one about Lavender town syndrome and Buried Alive being urban legends in the Pokemon world, but with the difference being that instead of Lavender town hating these legends for giving their town a bad name, they actually intentionally spread these legends because they think it’s funny when tourists get scared about them, similar to Australia and drop bears.

The protagonists of spin off games (Snap, Cafe, channel, sleep, etc) are characters in the Pokémon universe just like the mainline protagonists, and they’re all named after their respective games like red and blue, and they’re all named all meetup every month to talk about how the mainline games get too much attention, Goh used to be in this group too, but saw himself as too good for them once he became part of the anime, and now the rest of them resent him for it. 2. Roxanne and Steven are very close, due to their shared love for rocks (considering what fossils are) and because they both live in the same region, Roxanne sees Steven as a mentor and sometimes even as a second dad.

Couple of champion-based headcanons: 1. Cynthia's favourite Eeveelution is actually Umbreon (her hair decorations have the same colour and a near-identical design to Umbreon's ears), but her Eevee accidentelly evolved into Glaceon when she was passing by Route 217 and got too close to the Icy Rock. Regardless, she doesn't think it's a big deal and laughs about it being a silly mistake on her part. Obviously she still loves her Glaceon no less than the rest of her Pokemon 2. Steven is not as knowledgeable on rocks as he claims. He just spends so long around ruins that he convinced most of the region that he is. Wallace is one of the few people who know the truth, and every year on April Fools Day, will carve some random scribble into a rock and trick Steven into thinking its a piece of some lost civilization or something. Steven always takes longer to work it out than he should, only making Wallace laugh even harder.

Headcannons i have: 1)Rinto is related to Rika Wally Lisia and Wallace because Rinto’s name and appearance is the same as Rika he gets called identical to Wally who has a hair and eye colour similar to Lisia and Wallace and they all have that self confidence attitude (making Wally the coward of the family) 2) Sabrina is scared of ghosts and the dark since she’s a psychic type gym leader so she wouldn’t get along with Allister so easily 3) Misty’s favourite school subject was biology cuz she got to learn marine biology and she’s a water type gym leader (Just some fun silly ones is all☺️)

Given she is a ghost and ghosts were alive at one point in the past, I'm hoping the upcoming Pokémon Legends Z-A will bring more context and lore around this supernatural moment in the game. Given Z-A will take place during the cities' redevelopment period, we might find her in life, or work out her cause of death.

I have a few head cannons 1. MissingNo. was the first draft of a mew clone(even before ditto) but he was too powerful(so powerful his form was incomprehensible), so they tried to stop him by catching him and throwing his poke ball into the water where you find him. the old man was one of the scientists 2. arceus's form that you catch him in is his restrained form. if he didn't have the thing around his waist, he would look like his bata form and have all types at once, a base stat total of over 9 thousand, wander guard as his ability, and way more than just 4 moves 3. the real reason all members of specific classes look the same is just because the protagonist is face blind

I saw a theory where kabutops was a bug water type, before being fossilized, because genesect is said to be an ancient pokemon which got rebuilt as a robot and it's steel-bug and looks alot like kabutops

Headcanon, Iono is one of the only streamers in the Pokemon world, therefore making her the most popular one, which kinda makes sense considering we never saw any others until this point.
