There is a animator on KZbin, Pedro Araujo, who did a complete fan animation of Pokemon Red/Blue and is now working on GSC. He sprinkles in some history with Proton, Petrel, Ariana, Archer and Silver. For what it's worth he has done a very good job with the story. I'd check it out.

Archer’s Houndour was a force to be reckoned with against your team, took out two of your Pokemon and did a decent amount of damage to your third Pokemon (Dragonair) before your third Pokemon took it out.
