A new Pokemon game, so soon after the last one? Well shoot, may as well test my luck with another hardcore nuzlocke, this time with the Flying type! I can't fully evolve my starter, but I get some neat treats to use throughout, so it should be a fun time.

Rules of the challenge:
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death (Including if my trainer blacks out)
2. Can only catch the Type Pokémon in each area (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon (Optional)
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items don't exist lol)
5. No leveling past the next Noble Pokemon (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode (Technically there is no option for this in Legends Arceus, but it's automatically set so that's cool!)

I did my first playthrough with all ghost. It was... only rough because Spiritomb was literally my last non-legendary Pokemon obtained and Rotom, Zoroark, and Froslass are all pretty though, though at least I had an alpha Froslass. As for the secret fight at the end... EZ. By the time I had my Zoroark up to lv65, my Typhlosion was lv100 anyway. I didn't set a "level cap" for myself clearly.

I can just imagine the horrors of Perfect POC of Legends Arcceus. Every pokemon has to be a perfect on the pokedex, which there are some exceptions being the starters and other similar pokemon where you see the pokemon but they're trainer pokemon.

@@Mut4ntG4m3r I mean in the first areas where it would be impossible to finish the entries of the two starters you don't have and togepi because the rules state you have to catch all and evolve all before you can move on, while I feel that Legends has it where you have to complete their section first before you can, while Perfect POC would be completing their dex entries completely. You have them in your dex but can not do them yet.

tf you mean "they dont say hes dead' thats one of the first things you learn when you go to that area, that he drowned while saving his pup. in fact, death is a common thing from the start of the tutorial, when 63cyrus tells you that you either pass her trial or some wild mon murks you and thats that sidenote, this game doesnt have blacking out. if all your mons die, you just get kicked out of the fight and can carry on as usual, except the wild mon still tries to attack you

Sadly, the same designer who made Hisuian Sneasel also made Sneasler. The "art" looks so, so much better on paper, but I'd argue it was a flawed design from the start. It's just a Sneasel skinsuit on a freaking human with a longer plume. Like a cosplay that would be pretty sick if it were only a cosplay.

I honestly think that since the Dialga/Palkia fight at the very end isn't really too challenging, that the real nuzlocke end should be capturing Giritina. Because before you are able to go and challenge it in the spring path, you must fight Volo with his Cynthia team, PLUS a 2 phase Giritina fight, without any healing. It is extremely challenging, and should be the end of the nuzlocke.

So I've watched some of the older videos and something has struck me while watching them, can you not catch duplicate pokemon AT ALL? Cause you are the first person I've seen do it that way, course the people I watched before never claimed to be doing hardcore nuzlockes.

Most nuzlockes have a Dupes/Species clause that either allows or forces you to reroll your encounter in an area if you find a pokemon which you've already caught a member of their evo line. This is done to not only avoid getting stuck with multiple early game mons, but also prevent you to exploit the encounter tables and end up get multiple strong pokemon with very common pre-evos (like stocking up on multiple Gyarados since Magikarp is everywhere there's water)

Technically yes, they have a charge attack like Arcanine where they maul you with their signature moves, but since all of their attacks are uber slow to finish you're quite likely to not see it

On the when we’re u wrong things. The only two things I disagree on were: 1. You saying the Dialga design was better than Palkia’s 2. You saying Sneaslers design was bad My reasons (purely opinion based tbh cuz that’s how talks about visual aesthetics usually are.): 1. I think Dialga’s design is easily the one design from this game that inspires me to actively hate it and rant about it like you did for Sneasler. Though I might be biased based on Dialga being my least favorite since its original debut. 2. Sneasler to me just feels like an actual evolution. Evolution works by exaggerating the parts of an animal that work best for its niche and environment. I.E. Sneasler’s claws getting larger and sharper, it’s limbs getting longer to climb faster, and the hair piece can be sensory so it’s length just covers more area. It being purple and another line for the Sneasel family helps too. I love those smug, sassy bastards. I get why everyone doesn’t like the name cuz it’s not very creative but Idk why everyone in this comment section hates the design. When I first saw it and when people from a certain streams comment section first saw it they just fell in love with the design. (Still poked fun at the name tho.) (Ps. If you’re doing a Hisuian run then I highly recommend going out of your way to get Ursuluna. It’s evolution method is convoluted as hell but once you get it its stats are amazing. I used it on my team since the halfway point of the Crimson Mirelands portion. It’s a mainstay for me. Busted early on but still holds up late game for being a physical beast!)
