Having a good hub in a game about exploring is so important. Coming back to Jubilife after a long expedition, watching people and pokemon become friends, that's some of the best the game has to offer.

Major related point: if you’re the type of person to never do sidequests, then PLA probably isn’t for you, because so much of the really beautiful things about Jubilife village are seeing what happens once you complete the sidequests. Entire buildings in the village get bigger and feel more complete, and the people and Pokémon side-by-side start to feel like you filled in a puzzle piece that you couldn’t even see the gap from before.

One thing I really hope Sc/Vi keep that PLA and Jubilife Village have is the way that you can feel the *places* grow and change as you complete sidequests and progress through the main story. Even if it was all individually small-scale in PLA, it still added up to something really touching in its own way. I’ve lived in multiple places irl, and the feeling of PLA’s Jubilife Village was like seeing and understanding the ebbs and flows of changes in a place you’ve spent years of your life in.

I'm completely music illiterate when it comes to names and what is called what, but something I've noticed on tracks recently are some sounds that I personally not enjoy. Let me have an attempt at explaining which one I mean: There is a "beat" that goes: "0 0 X 0 X" or "0 X 0 0 X" 0 being a more "mute" and almost not noticeable X being a much "louder" and "coarse" (almost like a bag of sand letting sand out?) I don't mind the more "mute" (0) sound because that doesn't distract me from the rest of the song, but the "louder" (X) sound feels out of place to me (again I'm music illiterate, I just like/dislike music). I was listening to the "Pokémon Diamond and Pearl- Champion Cynthia Battle (Remix)", not linking the video directly so KZbin doesn't do anything funny with the comment, and it has what I'm calling the "mute" sound going off constantly throughout the whole track, but it doesn't have the "louder" one. I still very much enjoyed this one as it is customary by now, it just has something that "feels out of place" to me, not sure if this is a very personal taste really or if other people have a similar opinion or some other type of sound they feel is a bit off. This comment is not meant as a "I don't like your work" type of comment, I tried to make it constructive as much as possible to explain what I mean. 😄
