Pokémon Lore Goes Hard

The in-game lore of Scarlet & Violet stated that the crater was formed around a million years prior to the events of the games by a meteor impact. Unless we were being lied to by the academy, which is possible since they cover up the existence of Paradox Pokémon and that the player character goes into the crater with 3 fellow students, I'm not entirely convinced that the Ultimate Weapon is the cause of the crater. I'd be more inclined to be believe that the Ultimate Weapon was made of the Tera Crystals from the crater.

I don't think it was stated to be from a meteor though, but yes, the game does tells us it's much more ancient. Now, also with the timeline of the paldean empire, being so recent wouldn't make much sense.

The Indigo Disk DLC for Scarlet & Violet confirmed the Great Crater of Paldea was created by Terapagos after it crashed into the region and cacconed itself in a giant tomb of Terra Crystals that spread all around creating the entire valley withing the Crater

I like the idea of the war between Kalos and Paldea because both regions are based, respectively, on France and the Iberian Peninsula, which is mostly Spain. Both of those countries have an extensive history of wars and rivalry, so it would make sense that they had a conflict in Pokémon too

There are also English Pokémon names that make WAY more sense than their Japanese equivalents (plus they do the localization in-house since gen 4 to prevent leaks and release worldwide simultaneously). The localization team know what's up. A.Z is also a reference to Azoth, the essential agent of transformation in classical alchemy, which is incredibly relevant to pokemon's lore as a great many of the major legendary pokemon, especially those of gen 6, 7 and 8 reference specific concepts from classic alchemy. Unsurprisingly, Area Zero also contains multiple alchemical references and concepts. The art from the scarlet and violet books depicting the disc pokemon (which we now know to be terrapagos) especially has multiple pieces of alchemical symbology in it.

It's confirmed that mega aerodactyl is how aerodactyl looked like (if not, it is very close), when it was alive millions of years ago. so mega salamence could be salamence reverting to a form closely related to its ancestral form: Roaring moon. But the timeline splits 3000 years ago with the ultimate weapon, so roaring moon would have existed regardless.

I think AZ’s actual name is Azoth. Not only do they start with the same two letters, but one of the team Magma admins in the ORAS postgame mentions “Project Azoth” by name in reference to an event very similar to that of the ultimate weapon, using infinity energy for some kind of deadly purpose. I’ll be perfectly honest AZ has been the biggest Lore info since the Creation Trio. It’s implied Deoxy’s was made when the laser fired off since it’s lore mentions it was a virus that got mutated after being shot by a laser, the Laser made mega evolution stones because they were packed with Infinity Energy and Rayquaza can mega evolve by eating meteorites filled with the stuff, In ORAS it’s briefly mentioned that a Giant Man has been spotted wondering Hoenn and during the event where you can get Hoopa a lady mentions a Giant Man dropped it off and left, and now if it is true that Paldea was the Target then the actual impact mutated the land and Pokémon more than the after effects of the laser being shot

In the story of X/Y it's stated that AZ's machine absorbs the lifeforce of other Pokemon and uses it to revive Floette. After Floette is revived it learns how it was revived and distraught by how many lives were sacrificed by AZ Floette leaves AZ. AZ then sets out to makeup for all the lives he sacrificed in hopes of Floette returning. The ending of X/Y has Floette returning to AZ. The machine was originally made to end the war because after Floette died AZ didn't want anymore casualties so the weapon was launched, absorbing the lifeforce of many Pokemon and ending the war once and for all and then AZ used the energy from those Pokemon to revive Floette.
