Misdreavus is actually kind of amazing. You get them really early on in Sun and Moon, and mine just steamrolled every situation it was in. It levels up fairly quickly, its movepool is pretty awesome... and it's really adorable in Pokemon Refresh.

Sinnoh bosses are hard, especially in Platinum. I'd say they're up there with HGSS in terms of being the hardest boss fights in the main series. Sinnoh, like you said, is hell early game with powerful, fully-evolved pokemon like Roserade, Purugly, Skuntank, Mismagius, and the like showing up to wreck your day. And in HGSS basically every Gym Leader not named Pryce or Jasmine can give you a run for your money: Falkner has near-endless heals with Roost, Bugsy leads with his ace and uses Technician Quick Attack, Whitney's Miltank ('nuff said), Morty throws a Gengar at you when you're likely to be in your early twenties, Chuck's Primape cheeses Double Team and Focus Punch, and then Clair--again, 'nuff said.. Gen 4 pulled no punches.

+Dee Forty-Five As far as the main series games go, I'd say that Gen 4 and Gen 3 had the most difficult gym leaders You already went over why the Gen 4 gym leaders are so tough, but the Gen 3 leaders were no walk in the park either, especially in Emerald. Whether it's Pokemon that are frighteningly strong for that point in the game(Brawly's Makuhita, Wattson's Manectric and Magneton, Flannery's Torkoal, Norman's Slaking, etc) or good movesets that compliment their teams very well, most of Hoenn's gym leaders were very formidable.

+Dee Forty-Five Just did a re-run of SS. And I heartily agree, Gen 4 games had very difficult boss fights. I actually whited out one time, though that was due to a lack of having Revives on hand. Whitney's Miltank took SOOOO LONGGG....my only Fighting move was Rock Smash on my Croconaw. I'm just lucky that Miltank didn't know Milk Drink...otherwise I would've cried... And remember, HG/SS/G/S/C has the hardest boss fight out of all the Pokémon games. Red.

+Lumamaster Whitney's Miltank is a real pain in the ass in HG/SS. Scrappy means you can't take advantage of Ghost-type Pokemon against it, and the Lum Berry it holds means that if you want to give it a status ailment, you have to do it twice for it to take effect. I also noticed from my SoulSilver run that it almost never uses Rollout anymore. Instead, at least when I last faced it, it loved spamming Stomp and flinching my Pokemon. And yeah, Red is a beast, too. I went after his Pikachu with a Nidoking that was only a few levels lower than it, and its Light Ball-powered Iron Tail nearly took it out in one hit.

This gym puzzle is suitable for a Dark type gym, with the absence of light. With all the Dark type elite 4 members, you would think they would make a Dark type gym. But I wonder, if GameFreak intentionally try not to make a Dark type gym? Dark is indeed, one of the popular types like Dragon and Fire.

I dunno. Being all alone in a poorly lit room with the only way to get out being a correct answer to a math question can be pretty scary. If you're a "Nobody said there'd be math!" kind of person, then you're screwed. I also don't get why you were so shocked that Acrobat 1-shotted Haunter. Like the Abra line, the Gastly line has abysmal defense. It's really no surprise that a fully evolved Zubat destroyed it.

I've been trying to put my thoughts into words for the last day. After all, your videos have cheered me up so many times over the past year. As someone who has lost cats in the past, reading your post about Teddy reminded me of them and how I wish no one would ever have to experience this sort of sadness or pain ever again. I know how hard it is to recover from something like this, but best wishes to you for all that you've done not only for your cats but for this entire community. I have an Idea for the Ralts' name. Since we know it will be a Gallade when fully evolved, We know it will fight with his arms, which are like swords. We also know it will be part psychic type, meaning it can see into the future. I think you can see where I am going with this... I know this might sound a little lame or cliche, buy could you name the Ralts "Shulk?" As another huge Xenoblade fan, I would love it if you did.
