Pokémon 2000 was EVERYTHING. The ending score for that movie when Melody is playing Lugia's song gives me chills. I also love it when Misty saves Ash because I love Misty getting to be the heroin. I also love the first movie. I can't watch Pikachu cry over Ash's petrified body without tearing up. I ship Ash and Misty pretty hard and tell myself that when they were older they got married.

TPCi got some 4Kids, but not all. I mean TPCi are moron for not getting all 4Kids voice actors due to expensive and TPCi couldn’t do it they wanted to cut the cost and find cheap voice actors to find replace 4Kids voice actors. TPCi has a lot of money and being so cheap for not getting them. They despite the fans and never care about the Pokémon anime at all, funny part they said, they were going to use all Japanese music since Season 9 and they never did and lied to fans just kept some Japanese music like 4Kids did.

Viz Media had announced that Sailor Moon '92 would originally return to North America on May 19, 2014, but on that date, it was only put onto Hulu, a video service only available in the US. And it initially posted its new dub only onto Hulu, which means Canadians instead got lines from that new dub spoiled on social media without having any access to it. Viz Media's anime licences are now considered null and void here in Canada.

its kinda funny how dub actors think they can tell the writers what to do..and they wonder why they had strikes In 2006-2007 lol or were replaced and why 4kids sold the rights....usually when new writers came in they had to write it closer to the original scripts so of course satoshi is going to be meaner or cruder than you remember from years back veronica like he isn't as virtuistic or nice as the scripts you read him being..thats a total change of who he is as a character for marketing reasons they got away with but when new writers came in with less control of the scripts being paid less they don't have time to rewrite the entire character like those writers had so now they have to make the lines closer to who he really is to save time as the show was well known by then so you don't have to market to new fans anymore we know the show so just shut up and do it...if she watched the original show satoshi is a little jerk a little idiot jerk with no manners at least by japan standards......

The writers strike was union-based, WGA. Pokemon was nonunion according to what the voice actors have said at panels in videos I've watched. So the strike would not have affected the show. As far as everything else in your comment, I don't know, it seems to be all speculation.

@@toadsaage7711 imagine how ignorant we sound to Japanese fans?...like I enjoy the dub acting and scripts outside of some cringe comedy changes but whats wrong with calling them by their actual names pr keeping the original music and theme song just sing it in english why change the music and lyrics totally?...4kids is lame..most animes by 1998 were using original names and music.....its just hard to listen to names like misty brock and gary now a days because I know the actual names...we didn't create the characters...its like if you were called some dumb nickname not your birth name by strangers its just wrong and bizarre..people don't know they stay ignorant so they still call them by these made up names...imagine if goku was still zero like he was in the harmony gold dub for dragonball when it started in 1994...how weird would it be if everyone grew up on that dub called him zero to find out his name is goku...well the reality is we kinda did that with bulma whose manga name is blooma yet somehow it became bulma in the dub the way lunch became launch somehow?...akira likes his puns for his names so when you change their names they lose all meaning...lunch and blooma are funny names...

@@razkable Japanese people change English names all the times, especially in movies, bizarrely enough they even translate English titles into other English titles that have nothing to do with the movie. Americans don't think Japanese people are ignorant, doubt they care about us either. And why would we use their original names with puns that only make sense in Japanese? Misty is a name that immediately makes sense in English, it tells us she is associated with water, it sounds like a plausible enough name but also sounds like a cartoon character name so it also just fits. Why sacrifice those tiny details that make the show that much more accessible to children so you can brag online about how cool you are for knowing the original names?
