Overcoming phobias is a difficult process that can take a really long time. Even logically knowing that mantids aren’t dangerous, they’re going to struggle to control the fear response.

It's an uncomfortably common pattern with various "scary" animals that often leads to said animals being killed based simply on appearance or making humans uncomfortable, which has genuinely devastating consequences depending on the animal targeted. (Ocean ecosystems often struggle to recover after the mass murder of great white sharks - a very ecologically important predator - bc of Jaws)

The hard thing about Scarlett and Violet is you can absolutely see the potential. A few really remedial fixes, not even fixing bugs just fixing design, would DRASTICALLY improve them both for normal play and challenge runs.

For me, if they made it for us to enter the buildings to do stuff, rather than just be a visual. I want to enter the shop, see the stuff on shelves, go I to a home and trade Pokémon to a NPC, or do something like the dojo and so forth. Now I know they added 2 stories (1 if you count star as team rocket), but the world felt bland because it just didn't feel interactive at all.

Yanno, I've always liked that Nemona is actually an already accomplished trainer to a certain degree and she's continuing to train new pokemon and improve, and that she's having battles against newer trainers with her newer team to help both grow. It kind of defies that old joke about having a level 100 Gyarados and getting challenged by a route 1 bug trainer you snuck past when you were there for the story.

Yeah, I love what they did with Nemona. She’s effectively completed the game and gotten bored with always winning, so she’s using underleveled teams to train the player into a real challenge for her. That’s a really fun twist on the classic rival character.

The FlygonHG cinematic universe continues to expand. Anyways, the thing about Scarlet and Violet is that if you don't already like them, it'll be hard to go through them over and over again. I think you should treat these games like you do with Gen 7--only play them every once in a while. I feel like if any Pokemon game is a candidate for burnout, it's these ones, so don't force yourself to try to play them. (P.S. I am typing this as a ghost. I did not survive the test.)

I wish you didn't hate these games. I definitely hate the graphical errors, but these were some of the most fun games in the series, in my opinion. The "natural weather" being set at the start of battle makes sense, though it shouldn't fade visually. It's one of the weird things that happens when time runs the same in and out of battle, which should definitely not be the case. Good video, though, as always. Your ad transitions are the best, Poppy's a cutie, and somehow your videos draw me in the whole time, even though I know the story. Lol

We just haven't had a whole lot of bad moms in this series which is a shame when there's so many terrible fathers. Though I wouldn't count the robot because she's not Arven's mother. somthing ive done in my sv nuzlockes is have seperate teams for each storyline. pokemon get drafted into a certain team depending on which storyline the area is closest to (pokemon outside of a gym town go to the gym team, etc) it cuts down the amount of options and does require some grinding but its been fun.

4:32 - PM7 actually made a competition video on this with MandJTV a while ago, so, while these guys weren't explicitly in the video, aside from Sewaddle and Weepinbel I think, that actually gave me some newfound knowledge on how to guess the others - in that it seems to usually be influenced by the rest of the evolution line. So, for example, Chikorita and Meganium are green so, since there's a bit of green on Bayleef as well, *it's* "green". There are a lot of exceptions, of course, like the Victreebel line, which are green despite yellow being more potent on the whole line, and the Leavanny line, in which Swadloon deviates from the other 2 stages by being green rather than yellow. Sewaddle was the one that I got wrong actually; I remembered that Swadloon was the odd-one-out, but I misremembered and thought it was yellow instead, meaning the other 2 would be green by my logic.

A challenge I would recommend is a "Move Cap" Nuzlocke - For each Gym Leader and other important Trainers you can only use as many moves as their ace Pokemon has and for each Titan you can only use 3 moves.
