Erich Flowers Yeah, before I really got into Pokemon I was not a huge fan, which was obvious. However, I was always interested by it and when I was 11, I got Moon. Funny how the character was the same age as me. I have seen a lot of dislike for Sun and Moon, due to its lack of challenge. After I did learn about competitive battle, I sort of agree with people now. All the 3DS games had lack of difficulty, except maybe USUM and ORAS. However, Alola will still have a special place in my heart. It is my third favorite region to this day.

Considering the massive amounts of loose ends and hints at a continuation of the Sun and Moon story, my guess is that we'll be getting follow up game. Especially considering how popular this region became. My guess is in Fall 2018, after the Diamond and Pearl remakes. But again, it's a guess.

While I may prefer USUM, SM's story was way better, and is one of the few video games to ever make me cry. (the others being pokemon black and white and xc2.) When I see people bashing gen 7 for the cutscenes or whatever, I see people fundamentally missing the point. Gens 5 and 7 were the most story-based pokemon games ever, and both hit it out of the park. It's fine to not like story in games, but playing a game focused on it's story and then complaining about said story being the focus is just wrong. So screw what people say, I'll always love gen 7.

After having gone through all that happened in the game, I honestly had tears rolling down my face through the whole credits. Then that very last picture...I cried. These are THE BEST games since..well EVER; having played since Yellow, no other game has made me feel so much! This was a REAL game in the series, it was deeper, darker, more emotional than any other game over these past 20 years. That said, I am also deeply saddened that the 3DS cannot properly reproduce the beautiful music in the game, this is easily the best music in the series and the sound team did a truly unbelievable job on the sound design in these games, I would never guess otherwise this music is in a 3DS game. I deeply hope Game Freak continues putting this much polish, heart, and soul into future games, and so help me if I'm not playing for the rest of my life! :D Pokeli, thank you for extracting these tracks so we can hear this music properly reproduced through devices with sufficient DAC hardware! I salute you! o7

Pokemon Sun was the first official Pokemon game I ever played. I remember. Holding up Litten for the first time. Watching it grow stronger and eventually, evolve. With each passing day it grew stronger and stronger, until it finally evolved for the last time. Now, that same Litten from years ago is with me in Pokemon Shield. Now, that Litten is an Incineroar, and my favorite pokemon of all the ones i own. Now, he can enjoy a hearty rest of his life as a retired pokemon. Thank you, Incineroar.

I got my cat Jack in 2017, a year after this games came out, and he was a kitten, not even a year old. Now he is 5 years old, turning 6 in June. He was a Litten when we got him, currently a Torracat, and will be an Incineroar at 10. In the car right now, and this comment makes me miss him. Holding little Jack in my arms for the first time. I love him so much, but I will see him again later after we get home from my aunts house. Jack loves me just as much as I love him. He looks like Litten, orange tabby cat. same here... it is because Lillie is going to Kanto to become trainer i guess and to cure Lusamine... Gladion is also act as the substitute president while she is away... Also, Guzma needs to be trial captain in bug type... and Pulmeria needs to be poison type trial captain.. For some reason, both of them have potential to be trial captain... Hala took in Guzma and to teach him to be a better trainer.. Pulmeria decides to challenge us when we become champion... Weird looking fairy captain i guess is still a mystery.... In 2010, I got the game that started it all for me, Pokemon heartgold. For the longest time, it was my favorite game in the franchise, and no matter how good each installment was, my opinion never changed. Then, after six years of playing my absolute favorite franchise, somehow, this game has managed to top it. The immense buildup since February kept my hopes high all the way, and with every new Pokemon design came more excitement. And then, the game finally released, and after playing through a game with some of the best characters, Pokemon, mechanics, moves, shines, items, and actual challenge.... I'd say Pokemon is shining brighter then ever before.

I love how the entire soundtrack for both Sun/Moon and US/UM have features of real Hawaiian themes from the instruments used to the addition of the tribal singers. It’s perfect!!

Aight settle down I got a story here: I wasnt a pokemon fan when these games came out, actually the first titles I dove into were 2019's LEAST controversial titles pokemo sw/sh, but we arent talking about those games cuz the discourse there would just have a bunch of nerds crying that people like things they dont, but that's besides the point. The thing is I got sun right after finishing sword and to be honest I wasnt vibing with it, it felt so handholdy and clunky, alot of the characters felt flat and mechanics were frustrating, this got to the point where I didnt finish the game and just sent what I could of my team to bank where I could get them into Galar. Now 5 months later I know far more about pokemon and have played more of the games (ORAS, HGSS, B/W) I see people talking about sun/moon and praising it, and I decide to give the game another shot and suffice to say: I loved it. The world felt so alive, the narrative was so deep and amazing with how it revolves around the idea of family and connectivity with the people around you and pokemon, the soundtrack was amazing as is any pokemon games, the characters felt memorable and charming, Lillie being my favourite, getting to see her evolve and become much more than just a fragile girl running away from home was amazing, everyone else was great too of course, the trials felt unique and interesting with cool ideas and set pieces. Once I took my time to really soak in the region and get a good team...it all came together. While I still think unova is the best region Alola is a close second, these games are fantastic and I couldn't have it any other way.

Noname88 I am glad you loved it! SM/USUM’s one of my favorites, too. And, for me, it’s also right next to Unova-and probably Sinnoh-for best gen. I really hope that Gen 7 gets the light of day. Thanks for enjoying SM and, ultimately, Pokemon : )

I remember staying up all night playing through sun because of how addicted I was to the game, seeing the ending and hearing the credits music after an all night adventure truly felt like something. It was the first official pokemon game I have ever played and I don't think any other pokemon game will give me that same feeling. (I'll admit, gen 5 is also up there but nothing can beat sun for me.)

I remember after gen 6 I wasn’t super psyched ab new Pokémon idk x, y and oras just didn’t do it for me and I remember being very excited for sun and moon but going in with cautious optimism. They absolutely blew me away and quickly became probably my favorite base games of any gen ever. The alola reigion the characters the Pokémon everything was just so spot on for me I loved absolutely everything ab them and just wanted to keep playing over and over again. I do not understand how some people hate gen 7 so much imo it was the best since 4 and I love it to death. Thank you alola for the best memories and some of the best modern Pokémon I could ever ask for

I felt the exact same way! I loved XY and ORAS, but when I replayed them, it just felt a bit bland, mainly XY. I was expecting an okay story (I also hated Lillie when she first appeared, idk why, pls don't hate me. I love her now) and maybe some okay characters and rivals. I was wrong! Everything was so amazing. I was really bummed when I finished the game, and I wished there were more save files.

Started with Gen 4, played all the gens (except RBY), and none has ever grasped my attention than Gen 7. imo, Gens 2-5 were good, XY and SWSH lacked in several areas, and ORAS was great all-around; it just didn't live up to Emerald. On the other hand, I had a wonderful time with Sun and Moon and USUM, to the point where I didn't want to replay it EVER. I just had so much fun, and I cared for the journey I went through in that game. Truly, one of the best.

This was my first ever pokemon game. I had no idea what to expext going in. Pokemon Sun was my second ever video game after Super Mario 3D Land I was thrown into a world of unfamiliar creatures and friendly faces and I loved it. I never ended up beating Pokemon Sun untuil a few years ago in because I couldnt get pat the Elete Four but then I heard this song and was reminded of my friends from way back when. Though I do love the story of these games the one fault I have with them is the fact that your character is pushed off to the sideline while the story is almost completely centered around lillie. Thats why i love Black and White's story sure they sorta messed it up in the end with the gehtsis reveal but what I love is how the game Emphasizes you the player character just as much as N so you feel on par to him you both capture the legendary pokemon and you both duke it out and come to understand each others opinions. Meanwhile in sun and moon your character is more of a camera man following around lillie while taking care of any battles she may need to fight. I guess my main gripe with the story is that you as the protagonist play the role of a side character and lillie takes the role of the main character.

listening to this today since tomorrow starts another era. thank you so much to Pokémon Sun and Moon, specially Pokémon Moon since it was my first official Pokémon game ever. these years have been amazing, exploring the Alola region, battling, having fun, discovering misteries, walking through routes, cities, villages... i played Diamond and Soul Silver as a kid, but Moon introduced me to the Pokémon World in a serious way. i can' believe how much i love these games, and they are going to be in my heart forever. Thank you to every npc around there, because they all made an amazing experience for me. Thank you Hau, Hala, Gladion, Kukui, Lana, Mallow, Kiawe, Acerola... Thank you, Nebby, Lycanrock, Decidueye, Mimikyu, Lurantis, Ribombee, Raichu and Toucannon. The last 6 were my first team to beat the league. Thank you, Lillie. Thank you, Alola.
