Pokémon Super Gold & Super Silver 97/Reforged Physical Cartridge Review - Space World 1997 Demo

Today I am taking a look at a lost piece of art that has finally been found and cleaned up! Pokémon Super Gold & Super Silver 97 Reforged!
The Demo has been fully worked into a complete and playable game featuring alot of unique differences from the final product we got! So today I'm taking a look at a couple of Physical Cartridges to see how well they hold up and if they are worth the buy!

There's been a few updates since whoever bootleged these carts that fixes things like the types displaying wrong. Glad you had fun with the game!

I love having a physical copy of this game, I actually ordered a custom label and custom replacement cartridge shell and it looks pretty hella dope now

This is definitely one of if not my favourite rom hack of all time. Even if I got stuck and haven't finished it yet. Just the very idea of it alone is a winner.

pokemon gold spaceworld 97 demo was made to end the kanto story due that the bad situation of nintendo, but releasing the Red and Blue versions worldwide along with the sucess changed the idea.

I just checked my dex, it does say it's on 120 as well as 110. I'm not sure the encounter rate however

I got a copy of the silver cartridge, but the clock skips by 45 minutes every half hour instead of moving properly. Any fix for that?

so how do trade evolutions work? are there certain stones, or do they evolve by leveling up? also cool vid!

Thanks for checking out the video! The evolutions do have several new items you use to evolve them so that you can technically get all the Pokemon without trading.

Sorry, this one doesn't support the RTC either. Mine super slowly passed time on its own but I also just manually changed the time as well

Have the games froze anywhere? I'm playing these on an N64 and it freezes up at certain areas

I haven't experienced any freezing on my end but I also haven't played it on the 64. Not sure how exactly you are playing it, but it could freeze if it's through the GB tower, I've not tried it that way before.

Yes it is possible to download the ROM, just search the game name and you should find multiple options

In one side you have Super Gold 97, which is entirely made based on the Spaceworld 97 demo and it looks like a middle point between Gen 1 and 2. On the other side you have Gold 97: Reforged & Silver 97: Reforged that are both a Gen 2 interpretation of the demo, less accurate but with a shitload of QoL features and interesting custom content. Both projects are iconic and it's a common mistake find people asking about the game in the wrong Discord, but you should put more attention in order to respect the devs and give the deserved credit for their creations. This problem can be solved reading a bit before uploading content. To clarify: - Super Gold 97 by lvl_3 - Gold 97: Reforged & Silver 97: Reforged by SourApple x There are no romhacks named Super Gold 97 Reforged or Super Silver 97 Reforged

Okay, I'll give credit to the creators. All of the above by Nintendo. Let's stop pretending adding some lines of code to stolen IPs is some sort warrants a hard earned pat on the back. It's cool that they did it, but it's not their 'creation' by any stretch. They just added enough code to make someone else's work playable.
