Ray is probably the only KZbinr/streamer that I can watch do a normal playthrough of a Pokémon game. I can watch Nuzlockes or challenge runs from others, but Ray can make regular ole Pokémon interesting

@@ItsJohnBomb honestly I think it's because he makes his own set of rules for a normal playthrough. He plays on set and doesn't use items in battle. Just with those two things it really makes a playthrough more challenging and more fun to watch

Silver's worse the guy's a prick if you know you know heck Gary/Blue isn't great either and yet he returns more in the series but what a bloody cocky bastard who thinks he's a hotshot but is anything but (his teams aren't usually that great and how he beat the elite 4 before you with them I have no idea) that and people hate his narcissistic catch phrase (Smell you later) most of the rivals in pokemon aren't great although I did like Cheren and Bianca (I'll also count N since he technically is a rival to you in the game) and I didn't mind Hugh that much I haven't played any other games in the series sadly I just know enough about blue and silver but I haven't really played their games and maybe someday I might idk I've played brilliant diamond so I know of the rivals in that one though they aren't too interesting to me that and well I still haven't finished it at least not to my recollection or maybe I have I haven't used my switch in a bit so I don't know if I have or have not anyway point is pokemon needs better rivals plus I haven't even touched scarlet or violet yet because I keep forgetting that my switch is there when I have money lol anyway rant over lol

I've seen people's lvl 40-somethings get one-shotted by wild Pokémon half their level. The stats and power mechanics are nuts. If you know what you're doing, you'll be fine, but going in relying on over-level strats garuntees you'll get stomped.

It mostly comes from knowing the resources/budget that Game Freak (and by extension Nintendo) has access too and not allocating it to improvement in quality. Do graphics/imagery feel lackluster? Yes. Is the game fun to play and enjoyable regardless? Yes, it's a Pokémon game. Knowing how much money and care could have gone into this game to make it jump from good to great, am I upset about it? Yes. TL;DR: My issue is that I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

It kills me how much ray hates his RT days. That's where I discovered him when he was the new guy there. I wasn't sure about him at first but he really grew on me. Now he's the only one I watch from RT and he's obviously not associated with them. I made a donation at one point and mentioned RT in the messages and he read and and respectfully thanked me for the bits and moved on. Still kills me a little bit. Glad he's happier doing what he wants though.
