Iirc, the color schemes of shinies usually aren't designed by anyone. There is apparently an algorithm used based on the colors of the normal form to determine the shiny's appearance. That's why we see repeats such as the green ones, the slightly different shades, super pinks, clown colors, etc.

I couldn't care less about the lore, they could've created a new pokemon around that lore or given it to the other cat pokemon that already exist that don't have a form like delcatty, glameow or purrloin. It's the same thing with Charizard, the kanto bias is annoying, most of the Pokemon that got new galarian and gmax forms are from kanto, again.

Gps1337 maybe if the Gen-1ers would put down the megaphones and stop hogging so much attention, then the Pokémon Company might stop paying attention to the Gen-1 Pokémon as much. After all, if that’s all they’re hearing the surely Kanto Pokémon are the most popular! (Sarcasm) Honestly though, there’s a reason my dad grew up learning the saying “the squeaky wheel gets the grease.” If you’re the only thing complaining, you’re the only thing getting attention. So I guess let’s all just declare metaphorical war on Gen-1ers (or maybe something less drastic) to get the Pokémon Company to notice us instead

because until generation 5, they made shinies Just randomly, they went on Photoshop and they edited them randomly, that's the reason why most of the Blue shinies from gen 1 to 5 were turned into Pink. When, during gen 6, instead they decided to make shinies not with just random palettes, but with colours that weren't random. Like Greninja, Goodra, Mega Gengar... Y'know
