I love that Serebii has preview videos now. As someone who works in the KZbin industry, one little constructive criticism recommendation for Joe and how you can improve future videos, slow down just a little when you talk, you're talking so quick it's sometimes hard to clearly make out every word and some words and sentences got slurred together. This comes from a place of love, not hate. I love to help content creators succeed.

As someone who really liked Yugioh Duel Links when it was newer, I'm SO excited for this! The full TCG has always taken too long and had a few sore points for me, like the energy system and how hard it is to build decks. This game solves a lot of those issues for me, so I look forward to it greatly!

Glad the battling is a simplified but ultimately familiar system to the paper TCG. One of the main pain points with Pokemon go was the lack of battling on the outset, and that the system was so uninteresting when it did release. Thanks for the preview

I assume the energy generator is due to limited deck space. 20 cards doesn't leave much room for energy cards.

Yeah this also give us more room for trainers and pokemon even though you really didnt use much energy anyway its nice to have them separate.

Hello! Great video and thanks for the video preview! I too didn't know you had a channel now, I've been a fan of your site since I got back into Pokemon with Diamond on the DS back in the day! Your site is invaluable and tremendous source of knowledge and guides I've used over countless years. One piece of constructive criticism, slow down! I don't know if you were reading off a script, nervous, excited, or all of the above (I completely understand), but I would just slow it down. We are fans of you, we're here and excited to see you and bring new people in, it was just tough to understand you sometimes laying out that gigantic wealth of information. It felt around the 4 to 5 minute mark you started to get a cadence and it slowed down a little bit and it was easier to understand but I'd even dial it back one more step from that. This is great though, subscribed and looking forward to seeing more videos!

Excellent video overview! Thanks very much for sharing such an in-depth look at the game. As someone who's mainly just collected the TCG cards over the past 20+ years verses playing competitively, this app seems like it's exactly what I've always wanted in a mobile Pokémon TCG experience. My only question is if the "9.99" premium pass is the monthly price tag? If so, do you know yet if it's possible to reduce that cost if you purchase the pass over a longer period of time (ie. 6 months or 12 months)? Also, were you referring to GBP or USD when quoting the price? I've never been a fan of directly buying in-game currency but I've honestly really appreciated Pokémon Sleep's premium subscription (even if it's still a bit too pricy for my liking). There's a very high chance that I'll throw money at TCG Pocket's subscription, too, if it's not outrageously expensive. XD

So there's no coin flipping, no status effects, no draw/search effects, and very few trainer cards? That might be a little ~too~ dumbed down. edit: oh there are still some coin flip cards. I look forward to a complete list, maybe when prerelease starts.

I think their strategy is to make collectors actually play a game with their cards to lure them to the actual tcg once they want more I'd say if you already play the tcg you're not the target audience

All for it if you are excited for this app but this feels like the most pointless cash grab Pokemon could have done. It feels like it is mostly a pack opening app with a Pokemon version of Rush Duels. Definitely don't want to stifle anyone's excitement for this app but just genuinely curious as to why this is the hill Pokemon is choosing to go out on this year. Would love insight if I'm just truly blind to the community begging for this.

The current official TCG simulator sucks. A lot. I also have no intention of spending money on this. If I can whip out my phone and play a few rounds with my friends, that's more than enough for me (and more than the TCGO can do).
