Goodra literally was just a way to have Ash have 6 pokemon, he pretty much had 5 until the leage cuz they realisted that he needs 6 for the leage and they had written goodra off of the script

With Ash’s Torterra I think it gets a bad rap from the fanbase. Like as a Grotle it was able to go toe to toe with a frontier brains Ace and went up against both Paul’s Drapion and Bertha’s Hippowdon and showed it was really powerful but Ash failed as it’s trainer being mostly used to having a speedy battle style

Actually, Goodra's portrayal in the anime is surprisingly accurate to how good Goodra is in the games... Its widely considered the worst Psuedo-Legendary in the game, because its just plain dragon type, with relatively averaged out stats. Its GREAT if you want to tank Special Attacking moves, due to its high Sp. Def, but its base stats aren't min-maxed in a way that matters. Pretty much every other Psuedo-Legendary outclasses it at their respective niches, which is a real shame because Goodra is one of my favorites. :(

Personally I hate how little Talonflame was used in the anime, he only got 3 episodes were he was actually the main focus, and they didn’t even give him any character development. He just feels like a prop they use for cool action in the battles, not like his on character. At least goodra was done well in that department

This was a great video, but I can't believe you made a video about Pokémon with wasted potential w/o a mention of THE Pokémon with wasted potential: Dawn's Ambipom She was with Ash in AG Was the only one, along with Pikachu, to travel with him to Sinnoh Develops a fondness with contests, so she's traded to Dawn for her Buizel Evolves into Ambipom and easily shows great potential in becoming an amazing contest Pokémon But because the writers/producers wanted to promote newer Pokémon & HGSS, They write her off with this random episode about Ping Pong. And who replaces her? A pathetic, boring, annoying Cyndaquil who just messes with Piplup and is only here for HGSS promos And a random, underdeveloped Togekiss that Dawn gets from a look alike, like 6 Episodes before she uses her in the Grand Festival Finals. Not the Pokémon with a multi series backstory who would be infinitely more satisfyingly to see facing Zoey along with her Penguin Partner. Hell, She doesn't even get a visit from Ash in Journeys. It's a shame because, unlike most Pokémon Fans, I honestly love Ambipom. She deserved better.

I kind of agree with what's said here, SPECIALLY Xerneas and Yveltal, the embodiment of life and death were treated like batteries in the whole game... But i really Eternatus was used well, at least in the games, man Galar was being literally destroyed by rogue Dynamaxed Pokémon while they battled Eternatus. Ps: Eternatus doesn't have a G-Max form, that's its Eternamax Form.

@JoshTrager-j9g I think Lopunny also has wasted potential actually, but it isn't really a major one. It's been ruined by the internet and its design is based off of something very immoral. Instead of portraying it as a bunny that crushes rocks with its ears through training, like its previous evolution, they made Lopunny a stupid doll for simps. It definitely does not need thicker thighs. In fact, I think it shouldn't exist lmao. They could've based it off of something entirely different.
