To anyone that happens to come back to this video: The Ultra Ruins are actually an alternate timeline, parallel to the worlds of Pokemon Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Moon. In this world, Guzzlord existed as somewhat common Pokemon and Hau' Oli City were in the midst of running a recently constructed Nuclear Plant. However, an incident occured in which the Nuclear Plant exploded, destroying not only Hau' Oli City and Alola, but perhaps even contaminating the rest of the world. Due to the radiation, every human in this world wore hazmat suits, some designed after Guzzlord, possibly due its rise in popularity from having the ability to consume the hazardous debris. Although, not even Guzzlord's almighty stomach could save it from the radiation poisoning, them slowly dwindling in numbers as a result. Foreseeing the very likely possibility that this world was far beyond the point of saving, the people of Ultra Ruins fled to an alternate world, one where Alola's Nuclear Plant never malfunctioned and exploded. Before long, only one Guzzlord remain, along with a human that had bond with it, one so strong that he decided to stay by this Ultra Beast's side, affectionately nicknaming it Mr. Glutton.

Interesting theory. This is the original Sun and Moon Game but with one change. YOU DIDN'T EXIST. Meaning you never became champion, Lusamine released ALL the ultra beast and won. Said clues are: He never saw Hau'oli City as we know it, which means this is in the far future compared to our timeline (All the characters from our world probably died a long time ago there). He also says that the elders didn't like to talk about the Power Plant, implying something really bad happened there. He also implies that Guzzlord is a species native to his world, so they aren't invaders at all. Basically humans trashed the planet, left the world, and couldn't take the Guzzlords with them because of their hunger. So Guzzlords now eat the trash, but their numbers are dwindling because they are running out of food. Hazmat suit guy even calls Guzzlord "Mr. Glutton" and becomes happy after you catch him, asking you to take care of Guzzlord. It's Wall-E but with Pokémon.

He says that he never saw Hau'oli City as we know it, implying that something happened long before he was born. He also says that the elders for some reason didn't like to talk about the Power Plant. There's also a theory floating around, that Guzzlord might even be a mutated Pokémon created by said accident on the Power Plant (Most people believe that Guzzlord is a mutated Alolan Muk, due to their eating habits). Anyway, that accident left the planet unhinhabitable, and people started to leave to another planet. However, they couldn't take the Guzzlords with them because of their eating habits (Which means the Guzzlords weren't evil at all), so they left them on Earth. Hazmat suit guy even says that the Guzzlords numbers are dwindling, probably because their food is becoming scarce. He also said that he didn't want Guzzlord to feel alone, that's why he stayed and even calls him "Mr. Glutton". He also becomes happy when you catch him, saying that "Mr. Glutton likes you" and asks you to take care of him.

This is a future Alola, more advanced than either of the ones shown, as as the guy mentioned, the people fled to a different planet after they destroyed the region with the powerplant on accident, the explosion also caused a pokemon to mutate into Guzzlord, but it was left behind due to its eating habits. It's not. This Alola is from a reeeeally distant future (Your character wouldn't live long enough to see it), in which some accident happened with the Power Plant. The hazmat suit guy's surprise seems to be from the fact that someone actually came back to that cesspool of a world, as it is almost uninhabitable by now. The clues: Hazmat suit guy said that the elders didn't like to talk about the power plant; he never saw Hau'oli City as we know it; said that the world became like that generations before his birth, humans left for other planets and couldn't take Guzzlord with them because of their eating habits.

I️ believe that this is the world where after you left for ultra megalopolis you never came back. Then since lusamine was already released she used her old plan from sun and moon which released the ultra beasts. Guzzlord then killed all of the other ultra beasts and destroyed the world. The reason he said “oh you came back” is because another version of you was there before but like I said was trapped in ultra megalopolis

I think guzzlord is a cool Pokémon, but it has some really dark lore. It showed up on melemele island through an ultra wormhole and then ate everything in its path, causing the Tapus to leave Alola and the people of melemele to evacuate either to another region, planet, or dimension.

Not sure if legit or not but acording to some site you can't soft reset in ultra space, once you enter the wormhole the pokemon or ultra beast will be always be the same, only the nature will change after soft reset. And if you encounter a shiny no matter how many times you soft reset it will remain always a shiny. Did you have any luck?

actually this is a version of hau'oli city where something happened to the power plant so everyone fled to a different world including an alternate protagonist. this caused alolan muk to mutate, and turn into guzzlord. that's why the man wearing the guzzlord suit was there and not dead. one sign advertizes the power plant, so game freak probably put that in there to explain more.

a power plant in this world had a catastrophic meltdown resulting in intercontinental nuclear fallout, the surviving humans saved and ferried as many Pokemon as they could and went to space to survive. guzzlord didn't cause the event, it was a countermeasure designed to eat rubble and hopefully make the planet habitable again. when it failed, guzzlord had to be left behind due to its immense appetite making it impossible to care for in a low resource space faring environment. we know that guzzlord was manufactured to be a cleaning device cuz his design is also used in the hazmat suits for this world, meaning he must be a mascot of sorts. the guy talks about how the adults never wanted to talk about the power plant, and how they couldn't afford to take guzzlord with them, so they DID want to.

According to the conversations you can have with the hazmat guy after you catch Guzzlord... The power plant meltdown happened at least two generations before the player arrives, as the hazmat guy says Guzzlord have been in his world for as long as he can remember, and that people of his grandfather's times didn't want anything to do with the power plant. There's also the tiny fact that the hazmat guy has no idea about the color blue, which means he has never seen clear skies during his whole life. But what Power Plant could have caused this disaster? Could it have been... New Mauville?

It isn't alternate worlds. It's alternate universes. If you look at Matpat's Game Theory from a while back about the meteor in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, he explains it in pretty good detail. Every single cartridge copy of the individual games are different alternate universes. Also, from what the Pokèmon Company has been doing lately with lore instances like this, it is safe to assume that his theroy was correct. This is just one copy of the game that was sealed/ never played. In which the Pokèmon that came out of the Ultra Wormhole at the beginning of the game was Guzzlord, there wasn't a skilled enough trainer to fight him, and the specific Pokèballs to capture Ultra Beasts hadn't been fully developed yet. Thusly, Guzzlord wrecked their universe's alola region, slowly devouring everything in it's destructive path.
