Pokémon White 2 Hardcore Nuzlocke - Normal Types Only! (Challenge Mode, No items, No overleveling)

In this video, I attempt to beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in White 2 using only Normal types!

Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. If a Pokémon faints, then it must be permanently boxed.
2. I can only catch the first encounter on each Route.
3. No bag items in battle, except for pokéballs. (Held items are allowed)
4. Must be played on "Set" battle mode.
5. Cannot level over the next gym leader/elite 4's highest level pokémon.

@@SaulPrez the elite 4 is probably one of the weaker ones with maybe gen 6 being worse 2 of the elite 4 are weak to dark krookidile or hydreigon has a field day Use Solosis or a strong psychic type vs Marshall use a dark type vs candice and shauntal grimsley use a fighting type that elite 4 is a joke unless you're under leveled you probably won't have trouble

I'm a Normal-Type fan, and that started in Gen 5 when I realized, thanks to Lenora and Cheren, not to underestimate them. Normal-Types have just 1 weakness, and most Normal-Types can in fact cover said weakness, be it through a move they can learn or a secondary typing, and a good portion of Normal-Types are tanky. They really are incredible.

Yeah I agree, all normal type gym leaders are actually really hard to beat, Norman with his slakings, Cheren with his work ups and lenora with her annoying whatchog, and DONT EVEN get me STARTED about Whitney’s milktank, her milktank was made by satan himself. Also the normal type probably has the most coverage out of any type, a lot of normal types can learn a lot of elemental moves.

It may not seem like it, but Sawsbuck can be a killing machine. In my first ever Nuzlocke of Pokemon Black, it had 14 confirmed kills in the Elite Four and Champion battles, it was a beast unlike any other

Honestly if it were upto me I'd have obtained the Braviary on Route 4 and got myself the free Skill Link Minccino they give you on Route 5, Skill Link Cinccino is an absolute monster and will help you out a whole lot especially in Black 2 where you're given a free Zoom Lens.

Your comparison to vanilla is SOOO good. Had to argue that normal type is good but my 'conversation' partner just didn't want to listen. Like normal type Pokémon are solid, and the question was which type we would use if we were only allowed to use one type. And Normal type Pokémon are only weak to fighting... NEWSFLASH: there are a lot of Normal/Flying Pokémon so that is nowhere near a valid argument to discredit a whole type... Especially if normal type Pokémon have CRAZY coverage and get STAB to very strong attacks that only weak/useless against Rock, Ghost, Steel. But they've got enough coverage on that. I'd go with a whole Normal type Team over any grass or water team. Great video btw

I hope you don't mind, but I have some thoughts and recommendations that hopefully you'll find helpful and constructive :) - I think it would be good to spend more time at the beginning of each video introducing the run. Why have you chosen this particular run (i.e. type/game)? What's going to be hard about it? There are basically infinite versions of these kinds of runs you can choose, so there must be a reason you chose this one! - In particular with these kinds of type-based challenge runs, actually listing the Pokémon available at the very beginning is good to orientate us, since it gives us an overview of what you'll be working with. - Try and have some more fun with your commentary! Would be great to hear more of your personality come through, e.g. nickname themes, gameplay mistakes, rival names... Keep up the good work, hope you can keep on growing

Gen 5 is great for Normal type,if you get a Cinccino with Skill Link you can teach him Bullet Seed and Rock Blast, for two 125 covering moves with 5 times the chances for critical hit. To that you add a Tail Slap with the same plus STAB,now you only need a Fairy type to cover its weakness and you are set. Then,you have Bouffalant and Braviary,among my favourites.
