It’s so sweet how there are so many comments of people saying they literally cried when they heard this in the game. Isn’t it crazy how nostalgia is so powerful and how these games mean so much to people they cry upon hearing a song from one of the games? I hope they do this again in the future. It would be nice to hear something like a piano version of Lacunosa town in a future game.

A new Pokemon subseries. Pokemon Legends, where the game is taking place in the past of a region. It started with Legends Arceus. It's the prequel to Diamond and Pearl and Sinnoh. The region was called Hisui back then. And there's Legends Z-A, the Kalos version of it, announced at the start of this year and is planned to be released in 2025

So much nostalgia, took me by surprise when i heard this while playing Pokemon X. I miss playing Pearl and Platinum, my first games alongside Emerald but my favourite is Platinum. Even the clothing is something different, the berets/beanies and scarfs/mufflers that Dawn, Lucas and Barry wore, even in platinum winter clothings. And i love the characters, getting tougher yet hyper and always puts friendship first over anything rival Barry. Those tag battles with team galatic, spear pillar and distortion world were super intense in platinum. Wow, the nostalgia. I believe even if there are sinnoh remakes and i would love to have one, it would not be the same as the old ones. But i would really love to play it in 3D, imagine spear pillar and distortion world in 3D.

This was such a gift of joy and nostalgia when I first heard it on Pokemon X and Y. This little gem, a live recording of one of the most beautiful themes in Pokemon history, was hidden away in some building somewhere, and it really proved that X and Y was a game made full of love and care.

Despite being a massive Gen IV fan, I'll agree with you there. It added little more than the P/S Split to what was already there from Gen III.

Goldenblade14 Yeah, gameplay was kinda lacking, but that was really the only large problem it had. Music and story were indeed by far the best in any games, the physical/special split was amazing and completely necessary, online battles, well, it's hard to imagine Pokémon without it now. Design of the region was also absolutely brilliant, aside from the infamous beret, character design was bloody perfect and the whole collective atmosphere is just amazing.
