I was literally looking at my avatar and trying to make it look good. And as I was looking through some of the clothes, I realized that I already had them, but there's a price on it again. I’ve experimented and this is the best I can do to recreate the female character: Body: Weight: 0 Shoulders: 0 Muscle: 0 Chest: 4-5 Hips: 6 Face: Preset 1 It also only really works with baggy clothes but it works. Hope this helps

The caveat being that Niantic updated their Terms of Service this past year to include a new paragraph about their consumers waiving their rights to take class action against Niantic (almost as if they knew this garbage was coming down the pipeline and expected the backlash). Granted, I’m not sure that the ToS will hold up in a court of law since that’s not always how it goes depending on if the terms are considered “reasonable”. I’m sure this will not be the end of the discussion though.

In my opinion, Niantic should change the avatars back to their classic design, but keep the other hair styles. My avatar looks normal, but he's literally a ghost, his shoulders aren't aligned correctly. Niantic should really think about how their product should be made before releasing it when it hasn't been tested out beforehand. (I've played Pokemon go since 2016, but lost my first account, so I sort of came back in 2018.)

Idk how game decisions are made at niantic labs but I have a theory. Ol’ John is sitting in his San Francisco office and the team is giving a presentation on a revolutionary avatar project they’ve created. The presentation consists of a 2 slide PowerPoint, one with pictures of these ridiculous avatars and the second slide has a picture of a shiny Cleffa with dollar signs.John absolutely loves it and gives the green light to release the update live… Something weird is going on. ANYBODY who bought ANY cosmetic, even if it still looks decent, should demand a refund, because it is objectively not what you bought. They can't legally do that, especially in the UK. In the US, it's a grey area, but cases have been won where a company changed digital assets after a purchase. If you can't get a refund from Niantic? Demand a charge back from your credit card. Money is the only thing these people will listen to. If they lose all the money they earned from cosmetics that they have taken away from you, they'll think twice about doing it again.

Worst part is that they actually can not change it back. And it was probably tested but tested by their consultancy firm Gaymers, who told them to make these changes. If they try to change it back they loose esg ratings so they loose either way. Companies really only have two options they follow esg for easy investment money or they ignore esg and rely on unreliable consumer funding. Most will take the sure bet even if it means loosing customers and eventually shutting down.

I bought the Banette face mask because I'd wear it over the Duskull wraps headgear. Now they removed it from being used. I'm so pissed, was my favorite outfit ever. Support does nothing to help.

For me personally, the biggest issue is those faces. None of them look good, either they look way too small or it looks like you got hit in the face with red hot cast iron frying pan. Also they obviously failed to make the clothes fit without them glitching through each others or through your body. Honestly give us the old male and female faces as a option then let us select between the old male and female bodies and then mess with the sliders on top. Or they could just go to ebay and buy few ps2's and all the ps2 WWE wrestling games, then study the "create a wrestler" thing and take few pointers how over 20 years ago and 300Mhz game console could have way better graphics than 2024 mobile game on 1Ghz to 3Ghz 8 core ARM soc platform. Those years when game publishers could hide behind the "it's just a mobile game" curtain, are far gone. Only point when that mobile game excuse is acceptable would be when we are talking about gameplay or overall controls. I don't understand this woke bs. Yes I am a female and I would like to have a curvy character. And whats wrong with that??? At this point it's not just PoGo, it's everywhere. I am all for the more options in games and I agree that there should be androgynous body types and stuff but leave the male and female too! They ruined the game for me. I know it's not that big of a deal but we waited for this for so long and this is what we got...

I’m a HUGE lifelong Pokemon fan and honestly this update was insulting and has pushed me away permanently. I’m appalled with what they did. If anything, they should’ve made the changes OPTIONAL. Some of us have paid a lot of REAL money on their avatars. Never again!
