Why Air Slash over Aeroblast? Just for the flinch chance? With a Weakness Policy I'd prefer the extra damage. Edit: You answer the question in the video. I'd still think Lugia needs all the help with its special attack stat it can get.

It's just what I went for with this team. Lugia offers a unique bulk with it's solid speed, so leaning into that with flinches to open up opportunities for floral healing and whatnot is what I wanted to try. Feel free to make your own powerful Lugia team friend.

I'm just guessing here, but I don't think you want Aeroblast, since it has only 8 PP max, which doesn't really work with this Lugia, since this Lugia is meant to stay on the field for a very long time.

​@eamk887 I've done a lot of lugia testing and I've never ran out of aeroblast pp. If your lugia sticks around for a long time, that means you probably have multiple calm minds up. Your opponent isn't eating 8 aeros once you are boosted. Maybe if you just spammed neutral aeros from turn 1. But then you would probably die before losing pp

From the second match, my guess is that this individual is most likely a casual doing ranked battles for fun. Like, no idea why they even have some questionable pokemon (Dusknoir instead of Dusclops, a website ad at that) or questionable moves (like Shadow Ball on a clearly physical ghost type or Outrage on Miraidon when Draco Meteor or even Dragon Pulse exist) Another thing that I noticed is that they wouldn't switch their pokemon while Encored But I will give a credit to the fact that they are using a Slowpoke
