I hate the fact the difficulty is so blatently artificial. There's a massive level gap between poni island and this fight, and then the levels go down afterwards. It's more of the fact that Zorua/Zoroark's "Illusion" ability disguises them as a separate Pokemon. Since U-Necrozma's AI always chooses the supereffective move, if you disguise as a fighting or poison type, Necrozma will always use its Psychic STAB to no effect, giving you five free turns to slaughter the thing with Foul Play (which uses Necrozma's boosted attack). Tl;dr Use Zoroark's ability to fool Necrozma's AI into spamming Photon Geyser against it. Instant win.

Same here, I remember this boss because it caught me so off guard that it sweeped me and my team, except for my magenzone, who had sturdy, and my incineroar, who somehow lived power gem. However, I was stuck until I toxic stalled it. A very memorable moment.

if it's a regular nuzlocke, with no healing items allowed you can still beat it very easily in many different ways if you have more than 2 brain cells lmao 1. toxic... protect... switch... repeat... bait NVE moves, you only need to survive 6 turns, or 7 if you miss the first one if you're unlucky, and at WORST you'd lose a few mons. AT WORST. (tm is in aether) 2. you get a focus sash from the dancer chick in poni wilds, endeavor + priority, furfrou and tons of other alola mons get it, that's literally all you need 3. you get a focus sash from the dancer chick in poni wilds, counter/mirror coat/metal burst 4. not to mention even without all that, which is free anyways- you can just get a decent steel and probably 1v1 it and NOT TO MENTION- if you nuzlocke and allow healing items (which is free, and takes literally no skill) then it's free with basically anything you have+toxic+protect tons of other ways i didnt name btw, like perish and dbond etc
