Chronicles/Evolutions were both also great. Personally I'd love to see Pokemon adapt a more mature version of the anime, where the villainous teams are genuine fucking villains. EG in Chronicles, Neo-Plasma straight up murders dozens of Opelucid civilians by strafing occupied buildings with Hyper Beams and Dark Pulses, and that's before we even consider that they then basically cryo-nuke the city.

I mean, look at it this way. buying everything that would come with a sequel for $40 vs buying it for $25 or so as DLC? That would not be bad but it ultimately depends on what would come with it. For people who already have Pokemon X and Y, start at home again with all your pokemon and the gym leaders scale to your level or which you fight first. (something like a New Game+) Addition of Move Tutors New areas New Safaris New story developments etc. I would not oppose this one bit, however gamefreak already said no deal.

Ash did not made what Red did in those 4 episodes... one of them is fighting Giovanni, other one is that Ash never walked in the Silph building or the Team Rocket hideout.... another thing that is worth to mention is that Ash was in a tower at Lavander but it isnt told that is the same tower of the dead as Red walked into.

Asides from that yes, ash was different in his travels as his side was more realistic in a sense, travel distance was there, battles were not always easy or constant, and he had companions, whereas red is more closely based of games with the idea of catching them all and beating everyone. also if it was so easy for ash then the series would have been shorter and less interesting

One scene didn't make sense: Charizard used mega punch against Blastoise: did little damage. Charizrd uses Fire Blast against Blastoise: Knock Out. Even with Blaze it couldn't be taken out that fast.

Tbh, I don't think none of us will be at peace until Ash actually wins the league... And the X and Y anime to me, is a gigantic improvement. It's not as childish as the Unova anime, which sucked balls. The battles have really stepped up, Ash sounds more mature than before, he has become a bad ass, and finally a new interesting sub plot has been introduced, that being Serena and Ash having a childhood relationship and Serena having a crush on Ash, which has been shown on many occasions. And no, Misty never had a crush on Ash. It was all 4kids, you can tell by rewatching the anime in eng sub... So, for me, the anime has really stepped up!

TheUzigunner I agree so much. The XY Anime, not only brings a great improvement with Ash stepping up his game and with Serena having a history with him, but tops it off with the bits of nostalgia thrown in (Team Rocket's original motto and the opening being a short-like remix of the original opening). The character interactions between the main cast not only is enjoyable to see, but their interactions really feel genuine and they really look like a group of friends who really want each other to succeed. A lot of 'really' I know. :)

Absolutely! I still really like it for what it did for the franchise animation-wise, and I'm really hoping there are some more mature focussed stories at some point.
